Woah, this was a PROCESS. It was so interesting to read this type of story after living through the pandemic. Scared, excited, bored, hopeful, angry... this book made me feel a plethora of emotions. Could it be shorter? Absolutely. But was it worthy of reading nonetheless? Also absolutely.

I've read Compulsory and All Systems Red, but I'm DNFing Artificial Condition and the rest of the series. Murderbot's POV is fun, but rest of it just doesn't hold my attention. I realized SF is making me incredibly bored, this looks very fun for somebody who likes the genre, but it's just not for me.

Words cannot explain how disappointed I am. Sager was one of my favorite authors and this was a huge, pointless mess. A waste of time. Wow.

Alrighty, it took me some time to gather my thoughts about this book. On one hand, the writing is great — smooth, engaging, and it absolutely compels you to turn the next page. I liked how the author portrayed the complexity of the characters, and how the book explored issues of (bi)race and (bi)sexuality.

However, there were aspects that didn’t quite sit right with me. The author’s insistence on presenting certain values as inherently “correct” sometimes made things feel too black-and-white. As the story went on, the author’s personal views became increasingly visible, and at times the narrative took on a preachy tone — which was disappointing, especially since I loved that it wasn’t preachy in the beginning.

Another issue for me was the portrayal of heterosexual men. It was hard to believe that every straight man Evelyn encountered was aggressive, shallow, or an outright asshole. Rather than strengthening the book’s exploration of different aspects of sexuality, I felt this actually weakened it and cheapened the message.

All in all, despite its flaws, I thoroughly enjoyed the story. It was compelling, made me think about some questions I don't think about in my everyday life and I'm glad I've read it.

Interesting retelling of Alice in Wonderland that tells deeper, much darker story. Generally, I liked it, it kept me interested even though it was too dark and disgusting at times. Solutions came maybe to easily to characters, they kept saying in how much danger they are in, but that didn't really translate to reality. I'll keep reading the series, it was intriguing enough.

Incredibly shallow and outdated, but at the same time funny and lighthearted. Quick and easy read, ideal as a palate cleanser.

It was an ok crime story, a little too fragmented and with a lot of chatacters to follow on audio. Unfortunately, this series does not interest me enough to continue. The narrator had a pleasant voice, sometimes it made me even too relaxed so I would forgot to listen.

Aged like a fine milk.

Objectively, this was a good series, it is obvious how much love and effort the author interwoven into it, but I just never connected with it. The ending did nothing for me, I'm just glad it's finally over.
