so I really loved Conversations With Friends, but Normal People was different - it was good but I wasn’t shocked. The characters are as imperfect as they could be which is nice, I like to see how they feel their feelings. The focus on the relationship between Connell and Marianne is written well and emotional but I feel like not knowing and understanding their motifs after finishing this book? I don’t get it I guess, love for me was always different, my relationship is drastically different from theirs - I couldn’t relate. Which is why this book didn’t hit me. But all in all I live Sally’s writing style and her perception of humans and time - and I will read every other book she publishes forever.

i enjoyed this book a lot, it’s relatable and I feel like it represents young adult live in a very realistic way! It explores friendship in a very cool way and I love the lgbtq representation especially. In general it has diversity, the internet and emotional decision making

first part was incredibly boring to me. Mr Snow is a very annoying character. The Games were depicted way too slow and I just morally can not root for any character in this book. The middle part gets interesting because of ~plot development~ and I enjoyed seeing Snow get worse and worse. The end felt rushed and the showdown did nothing but hurt my head. The constant singing was also unpleasant tbh.
2/5 Stars

not my usual read, I am not even close to the group this book is marketed for! I found it in a free books box in a park! It made me realise some things and I feel good about the progress our main character made. Addiction as a topic was interesting to me since I don’t really relate but I loved to learn about it - and it made me see that getting sober is really hard for most people ✨ Liked the summer vibes!

I don’t really know - I don’t like Abby that much but I like how political this story is, will def continue to read the series!
