A short story with Kelsier, couldn't ask for more 🤍

I have no words to describe how emotional this book made me. It has to be one of my favourite high fantasy books ever ..
So excuse me while I go and spend all my money on Sanderson's books.

Mi primer manga, no creo que esté traducido al inglés, entonces lo leí en castellano. Estaba bien, muy rarito y extraño! 

 Pues, muñecas y folk horror japonés ...

I wanted to like this book so bad, the story was amazing, weird, creepy, gory ... but the writing wasn't the right one for me. 

I think this might be my new favourite Ali book. I loved the bits talking about deep learning and meeting Olive and Adam from The Love Hypothesis again!! So cute, the romance was adorable and the friendship with Pen was so refreshing too! 
It was such a fun read, it even got me interested in diving. But the kink? Was it even in the book with us? I wish she had explored that aspect more and had been a bit more ... "daring".

This was beautiful, but at the same time so dark. I loved how the three timelines were woven together and how, even centuries apart, the Weyward women were always looking out for each other. 

Bride is a tough one to review, there were a couple of things that were a miss for me. I was so happy when I realised that the main character worked in cyber security, like me. But I felt Ali did barely any research on what it means to work in this field, in particular what it's like to work in pentesting. This trend that cyber security equates to "hacking into a database" and "cracking a ton of passwords" is overused and lame. Another aspect I didn't like was the world building. It felt a bit bland and lackluster. I think Ali does better in contemporary romances. 
All that being said, it was still enjoyable, I liked the romance plot and I found the mystery really interesting as well! 

This was a Sleeping Beauty retelling but with a twist, and a twist I quite liked! However, I did not connect with the characters and felt the writing wasn't as good as other books I've read from Kingfisher. It was, unfortunately, a bit of a miss for me.
