In the introduction to this book, King explains how Pet Sematary came to be because of events in his life. In fact, his plan was to never even publish it because of how gruesome it was.
I am glad he did, this might be the scariest book I've read from SK.

This book is the definition of cosy horror for me! I loved the good humour, genuinely unnerving scenes, and creepy feel. I can't wait to get into more of Kingfisher's horror!! 🖤

This series will forever stay in my heart. All the characters, their stories, their growth, everything, it was so special. This whole story was so incredibly beautiful, and I can't count the amount of times it made me cry.
I wish I had more time in Erilea, more stories and adventures to read, but I suppose it's time to say goodbye.
To whatever end 🖤

I was so scared after Empire of Storms that I would dislike this book but I think I might have enjoyed it more. I am really glad I didn't do the tandem read, it allowed me to appreciate each story for what it is.
The character development of Chaol was amazing, I loved seeing him overcome his injury and struggles, and of course, seeing his relationship with Yrene grow! 🧡

This was just ... wow. Perfect! I had never seen horror combined with romance done so well. I just couldn't put it down!
Loved the main characters and their sisterhood, loved the humour, loved the gore and loved the female empowerment! 🐺💖

I have mixed feelings, I love Rachel Harrison's books but this one didn't give me the usual vibes, humour and creepiness. Maybe it was because I experienced it as an audiobook, or maybe it was because it was a too short story for me to feel anything strong towards it.
Still, it had its charm.

I feel like this series went a bit downhill for me. I loved the first book so much that it was hard to enjoy this last one.
As Good As Dead had too much of Pip being paranoid and raging for me. I didn't enjoy the second half or how Pip acted through it. I also didn't love that the core mystery was revealed so early on.
I loved the first book so much because I loved seeing Pip investigating the crime, doing her podcast, and talking to witnesses. The Pip from As Good As Dead was not the Pip I cherished from A Good Girl's Guide to Murder and Good Girl, Bad Blood.

This book deserves more than 5 stars! I stayed up till late just to finish it. With such a strong debut novel I'm not surprised at all that I'm loving every single book Rachel Harrison has written.
I loved the creepiness, the gore, the vibes, the humour and once again the strength of female friendships. I can't recommend this book enough ❤️
