Okay, so I actually binged watched the anime a few years ago and really enjoyed it. I decided to give reading the manga a try sometime last year and didn't get around to reading it until recently. The only thing that was kind of jarring for me was the slight differences in the art style in comparison to the anime. However, other than that I did enjoy reading this volume. May pick up the rest of the series and actually complete a full playthrough of the game at some point in time.

Volume 2 of The Savior’s Book Café Story in Another World is just as cozy as the first one! The series continues to balance the slice-of-life warmth with just the right amount of adventure and keeping Tsukina's personal growth and power of kindness the main focus. It also continues to balance Tsukina's peaceful life of running her magical book café and her having to deal with new challenges as they arise. The relationship between Tsukina and Il develops even further in this volume. It's super cute and refreshingly free of the unnecessary drama. It's super sweet and mature, too. I really liked this volume and will continue the series at some point.

Volume 2 picks up right where volume 1 ended and the plot is still going pretty strong. The story/plot remains pretty solid in this volume. It's got a few cute moments in it that made me smile a little. The characters are likeable and feels very genuine. The combination of character development and story/plot is well put together as neither feel particularly forced. This volume delves a little bit more into the MC's past and current state of being while Aresh also gets some plot development to accompany the MC's growing character development. The art style continues to be nice to look at as well.

It's another isekai, but has a similar vibe to The Savior's Book Café Story in Another World and I really liked this one, too. It's a super cozy isekai like the Savior's Book Café Story in Another World. The story was interesting to read, having subtle hints at a larger plot. I'm really interested to see what happens with the prince and why he heavily favors the other savior. The characters, specifically Sei, are loveable and Sei's actions do make sense. The art style is really nice and I do like it. I'm hoping to pick up the rest of the series at some point.

DID NOT FINISH: 4%

I read the first couple of chapters, reading up until chapter 3, and I just couldn't continue. I just didn't like the writing style and it just felt super childish for me for some reason. The synopsis/premise of the story's caught my attention. However, I just couldn't get past the simplistic prose for some reason. I probably would've actually read the book fully if the prose wasn't off-putting/jarring. Also, probably would've helped if I hadn't read the ending either.

It's a pretty decent read. It kept me hooked long enough to finish this book. The story/plot is solid for the most part. However, the romance progressed way too fast. It just didn't fit the enemies to lovers trope like it was trying to do. The tone was fun and humorous with the banter between characters entertaining. It was done pretty well! Most of the characters were interesting characters and well written, except for one. My biggest gripe, character wise, was Alosa. While the writing style is pretty decent, Alosa just doesn't work with said writing style. She's too cocky, annoying, and very Mary Sue. Yes, we know she's got the magical powers. No, I don't care that you'd bring it up every chance she got. She feels like she's supposed to be portrayed as a badass, but she feels more like a cocky, whiny, entitled princess more than anything. The other characters were much more entertaining and I was more attached to them than Alosa. While I did enjoy the series, I'm tempted to continue the series via borrowing from my library instead of buying the next books in the series.

It's a pretty lighthearted start to a series. However, the weird wolf Loli aspect just kind of felt a little too disturbing and kind of jarring for me as she feels very childish and kind of one dimensional. The idea/concept of the story is pretty solid and seemingly references video games and real life is interesting, but it's not enough to keep me engaged to override the weird wolf Loli. I may still borrow the rest of the volumes from my library to finish out the story, but I definitely won't be including any more volumes in my personal library.

While this book is a pretty decent book, I did enjoy reading it. It also has a nice cover that I really like. It's a weird uniquely fast-paced book that reads like a medium-paced book.

The concept of a teahouse turned bloodhouse for vampires was very interesting and I really like this idea. Yet, my brain just did not connect a vampire teahouse with heists for some reason, but it works out by the end of the novel as the teahouse/bloodhouse is an important thing to the story. I do like the inclusion of the vampires as a major part of the story, though. I kind of wish the heist would be completed sooner so we can experience the consequences and problems leading up to the end so it doesn't feel rushed near the end, but I do understand it being a potential climax point in the story as it looks like there is another book coming out at some point, so we'll see what happens next.

The world-building felt a little bit too shallow and just not enough. I would've loved to have more world-building stuff so I could fully immerse myself in the world the story takes place in. The characters were loveable, but a tiny bit shallow. The plot twist near the end with Arthie was an unexpected plot twist that had me doing a double take and nearly broke me and I had to pause reading for a little bit to process it.

Only problem that I struggled with was the heavy-handed romance. It felt like a spoonful of sugar being forced down my throat constantly and it just felt a little weird and unnatural to me. Maybe if the story was longer, the romance could be properly spaced out instead of almost immediately being shoved down your throat.

It's a pretty cutesy kind of manga, something I generally don't like reading, but I'd thought I'd give it a shot. While the dynamics between the four boys was entertaining to perceive, some of the other characters were a little bit jarring to perceive, specifically the man hating one. It kind of threw me out of it a few times. The story combined with the dynamics between the four boys makes up for it, though. It's a good concept that is executed pretty well. It's a pretty decent high school slice-of-life romance story that kept me entertained enough to read.

I wouldn't mind picking up the rest of the series. However, it's not a high priority like some of the other manga/book series on my wishlist and TBR. This volume was originally pretty low on my wishlist, but I saw it as a BOGO 50% at the bookstore so I got it with one of the other BOGO 50% books I was eyeing there and decided to just give it a read. It's pretty decent, but the rest of the series will continue to be on the "Back-burner Wishlist" for a little while longer.

I loved reading this manga. The story moves so quickly between each plot point, both minor and major, that somehow doesn't lose anything along the way. I feel like it just adds to the overall world-building and character growth and helps build it in the process. The characters were well developed, likeable, and felt very much like people. Also, it's nice that Maomao definitely doesn't fit the typical characteristics you'd expect to see in a FMC, so it's a nice change of pace and adds an interesting touch to the world and characters around her.

Initially, I had seen this manga in bookstores and thought it would be a potential series for me to read, but the decision to pick it up and read it wasn't truly solidified until I saw a few reels/clips of the anime adaptation that really got me to start reading it before watching the anime. I'm glad that I picked it up and will continue reading/watching the anime at some point!
