loved the series as a whole. great reading.

Anything narrated by Wil Wheaton gets an automatic thumbs up in my book! He is a great storyteller (Audible.com) and he only narrates books that are up my alley.

If you like Star Trek or other Sci Fi TV shows then this book is a must read! It is somewhat of a satire on the shows and how certain people always die, certain people always live, etc.

The Wool stories were interesting. After just reading the first short story in the omnibus, Wool, I was not swept away like the masses who demanded more. The story ended, and it was sort of sad- sad in the sense that many sci-fi short stories are, I suppose. I got hooked on the 2nd story, Proper Gauge. From then on I could not stop reading. The omnibus was only $5.99 on my kindle and I can say it was definitely worth my time and money (I think the whole collection was about 550 pages?) I recommend this to anybody who enjoys post-apocalyptic/dystopian future science fiction reading!

Before reading this book, I had only seen a partial preview. I had never heard anything about it until that point. I just knew it was sort of about aliens. My sister-in-law let us borrow the first 2 books of the series and I dove right in.

I was hooked immediately. Then the book changed sections (the book is divided into sections that are divided into chapters). It took me a few more chapters to realize the narrator changed. I was kind of confused. It never said who the narrator was, you just sort of figured it out based on what was going on. So after I understood that style, I was able to easily go with the flow as the story progressed. It was a great idea because it actually made the story like three stories in one. Then of course at the end they all collide.

Can't wait to see the movie and also start reading the sequel, The Infinite Sea!
