This is a prequel and just the beginning of the story, so this will be a quick review. So far, we are dropped into the world of Delilah, Cody, and Marcus. Delilah is a prosecutor, Cody is an FBI Agent, and Marcus, well, let's call him our morally gray character for now. This is a short story that dives you right into a narrative you'll want to know more about. I just picked up this series and can not wait to dive in.
The only reason why this book gets a low rating from me is that I read book 0.5 before book 1. What was disappointing is that 0.5 comprised half of the book, with 11 out of 20 chapters. The story pulls you in, and the writing is beautiful, but the way that it is cut up contributes to my dissatisfaction. I really like the series overall.
I like the story, and the author's writing is solid, but I cannot get past how this book is chopped up. At this point, I am going to dive right into Book 3. Do I need to know how it ends? Yes. Am I happy about how these books were laid out? No. But it is a good story.
I was recommended this book by someone in a group I joined because she knows I like fantasy, horror, dark romance, and good old-fashioned kinky books. This was a good escape, and Leon is mmmmm, demon, red flag
I finally finished book 3. I think Willow Winters is a great author; her writing style is smooth and easy to read. However, this series was just not for me. Is it a decent book? Yes. I think this could have been condensed into 2 books instead of 3.5.
"One Billion Reasons" by Sophia Travers delivers a writing style so smooth, it's practically a literary rollercoaster. With Lane, the badass artist, her twin troublemaker Liam, and the enigmatic Miles in the mix, things go wild when Miles, the hotshot billionaire with a twisted past, needs a date. The chemistry between them is like a fireworks show, and Travers weaves in the backstory like a narrative sorceress. And oh, the spice factor? It's not just spice; it's a full-blown flavor explosion. I'm handing out a rock-solid 4.5 out of 5, cause this book is the literary equivalent of a wild ride with a wicked twist. I would 100% recommend it.

This is Part 2 of their Hallowed Queen and if you have not read part 1, I highly suggest you go back and read it does not disappoint. It ends on a cliffhanger and part two picks up right where it was left off. The author paints a few pictures, one that is going on in Marley's head, the other that is what we think is going and then what is actually going on. There are scenes that the author wrote so smoothly I felt like I was going through the same emotions as Marley. This story has a 90-degree plot twist and then another plot twist. These two books take you on a ride and I hated seeing it end. Easy 4 out of 5 stars. And I would recommend it if you like fast paced and spice.

Making Her Theirs by Lily Manning - The story starts off with meeting Georgia. After working hard at a Dallas Texas accounting firm, she finally received the promotion she has been working towards. This promotion lands her in Edinburgh, Scotland for a short stay to work on a project. After a long flight, lost luggage, and the discovery that her new furnished apartment is indeed anything but furnished, a drink at the pub downstairs from her is overdue. We are then introduced to Finn, Knox and Lachlan. From the authors description of these men, they will leave your mouth watering. When Georgia lays eyes on Knox and Finn, she knows it is over for her and she is not mad about it. Later that night she meets Lachlan when she is locked out of her apartment. Soon after she is surprised to find out not only do all three own the bar and rental, but they are also brothers. Each brother having their own personality makes you wonder if one is going to favor the other, but then you realize this is a why choose.
The Spice in this book is 4.5 out of 5. The author’s writing is very smooth, which makes this a fast read. Georgia lives out every girl's fantasy of going overseas and meeting mister tall, dark, and handsome, technically she meets 3. You get to watch the characters grow and it keeps you entertained throughout the story. And from what I can tell this may become a series. I cannot wait to read more from this author. If you like spicy books I would 100% recommend this book.

A Dead-End Job by Author Justin Acala is a story about Death-yes Death. Watching over deaths is no different than your average 9-5 job, however using a state-of-the-art computer system does help alleviate the workload.
Death does not know this yet, but he is in desperate need of a vacation. Right now, his only solace is a toy collection that would make most collectors drool. This is how the story begins. Just like any other person that works a 9 – 5 Death is stressed. A vacation idea is proposed to him but by his only confidant and IT guy Jumbo. Jumbo is confident he can keep the program running every day since he designed it, but there is one problem, they need someone to hunt the souls that slip through the cracks and live on borrowed time. The idea to solve this problem is to hire an intern. We are introduced to Buchanan Palasinski aka Buck, from Southside Chicago. Buck, former soldier, current hitman, and role player who is given a second chance to use the skills to prolong his descent to hell. After the initial shock of being dead and meeting Death he is hired as intern. His first assignment, John Dillinger, Great Depression gangster and bank robber. Along the way Buck figures out that he knows very little about the undead world and it is going to be harder than he thinks.
Death is witty, sarcastic and from the description sounds a lot like Bill Murray which is a bonus. The story is a thrill ride stuffed with action that I did not expect, and I could not put down. We watch Buck grow and adapt into his new role and the story forms. I would Give this book a Solid 4.5 stars out of 5. This book does end with some unanswered questions and the ending borderlines the definition of a cliffhanger, this is why I gave it 4.5 instead of a 5. From the research I have done this is a standalone book. It has the potential to become a series if the author decides to go in that direction. Buck is a loveable character and I hope we see his story expand. I would 100% recommend this book if you would like urban fantasy, action, fast pace, and dark humor.

The book is called Crazy Time, and let me tell you that the title is accurate. There are a lot of religious references and undertones in this book; however, this is not a book about religion. This story centers around a woman named Lily who goes through a series of unfortunate events in her life. The beginning of the story starts fast, with Lily going through a traumatic experience after a night out with friends that would give anyone PTSD, but it does slow down. At times when reading this book, you and the character cannot decipher whether sometimes it is real or a hallucination. Without giving spoilers out, I will say that Lily's journey is a wild ride. This is not a traditional good vs. evil story. Lily questions everything as strange events unfold around her, and so do you. If you have ever had the feeling that the world is against you, then you can relate to some of the events that happen in this story. I will say that there are trigger warnings: domestic violence, violence, and suicide. All of that being said, toward the end of the story is where the author lost me, and I started to lose interest in where the story was going. This is the main reason why I give it 2 out of 4 stars, 3 out of 5.. By the time I got to the end, I just wanted the book to be over. The end of the story made me feel like I was crazy. I am not sure if this was the intention, and if it was, then he hit the nail on the head. Between the religious undertones and the confusion of the characters sanity I personally would not recommend this book, but someone else may enjoy it.
