When Anne's sister Margot receives the letter to join the concentration camp during the second world war, her family goes into hiding and there, Anne confides everything that is happening around in her diary named Kitty that was later published by her father after the end of the war. This book is the diary of a 13 year old Anne who recorded everything between 1942 and 1944. This is also her coming of age story. The Anne who was born and brought up in a wealthy family had to go through so much for her age and because of that she becomes so matured, strong and independent towards the end. You will be amazed at how honest and positive Anne was even in that situation. Her thoughts and writing was much like a girl from modern age and I think that's the main reason this book is still withstanding even in the next century. I loved how they busied themselves with learning new subjects, languages and reading even in the depressing circumstances like that. Also, I was amazed at how well informed they were with what's happening around even when they were in hiding. I can't even imagine being stuck like that with no proper food for two weeks let alone two years. Most of all, I loved how Anne saw the world in a positive, hopeful way and reminded me why humanity is important over everything.

Before you read this know that there are some things that will be too repetitive but this is a diary so you can't expect it with organised thoughts and chapters like novels. People who say this is boring have to understand that this whole thing was happened in a locked up place and how can anyone expect it to be entertaining? Read this to learn and reflect on war and what it has done to humanity. From the literature perspective, I liked other books based on World war II better than this. But as a person, I felt this one was raw and profound. It moved me like nothing else. I would say this is a must read for everyone.
.
I didn't give any rating because I feel this book is beyond any number. It deserves to be read and felt by everyone.

First thing first. This is a NON-FICTION. BUT HOLD ON! This book is so surprising for a non-fiction. The author has done a beautiful job. I love how much she in love with her job. I could see her passion in the way she describes everything so easily and vividly. I generally love books that speaks from the passion of the author and this is one of them. So I loved it a lot. It is a very simple and easy to read book. Though it's based on science, even the one who knows nothing about it can understand very easily. It was little repetitive at some point but I don't complaint against it though.
So this book is an insight of a heart surgeon. She explains stress, heart transplants, important of exercise and diet, depression and what not everything about heart and how to keep it healthy and what could possibly happen to it if you don't take care of it properly. It was educational, impressive and interesting. I loved it so much.

I don't usually give 5 star rating to any book easily and you would have known that if you have seen my ratings for other books until now. But this book just blew my mind away. We all experience grief in some way or the other. But this man called Ove's earlier life was so traumatic right from the death of his mother when he was little, leaving him with his father and after few years, his father had died too when he was 16. This leaves him as an odd one, hermit or whatever you call it. But he was a man of principles throughout his life. That made his character so unique. He actually started living his life only after he met Sonja, his wife. "Ove had never been asked how he lived before he met her. But if anyone had asked him, he would have answered that he didn't." This particular quote made me cry for hours (I am not even exaggerating on that). I am sure that every girl/woman would die to have a husband like that. He just went crazy after she died. He just couldn't live without her. And one more thing I can't leave out here is a beautiful character named Parvaneh (neighbour of Ove). She was so cool and made this story so lovely. She is my favourite character next to Ove in this book. This book was so funny, had many cute moments and so lovable on the whole. I just loved it so much❤️ I am going to recommend this to every single person who asks me for recommendations.
This is a historical fiction representing the wars and conquest of the Chola dynasty. But above all, this is the story of a person named Sagar, who lived during the times of Mahabharata takes incarnation as Surya during the rule of Rajendra Chola due to a curse. This is a sequel to 'The Indus Challenge' which I didn't know when I started reading it. But then it had a recap at the beginning that made it easy to know what happened in the previous story and follow along with this one. Even though it is great and awesome to own superpower, Surya's character was unrealistic among all the real characters. I love stories about wars and this just quenched my thirst without making it boring or anything. It was such a quick and easy read, and can be finished in one sitting. But that little grammar Nazi in me found few mistakes here and there. Other than that it was really good.
This is the book one of the Maha Vishnu Trilogy set some two million years past ad 2050, when earth as we know it ceased to exist and so did mankind. A new race, the Manavas, now exists on the Earth. In the quiet and peaceful city of Madhavpur, Krishna is busy with an immense task. On one side, he has to keep the level of Bhoomidium at check which is eroding, means the earth is soon going to be destroyed and on the other hand, he has to create a new alternate world to escape the destruction.

This is a mythological- science fiction if that makes sense. We all know who Krishna is but he wasn't appealing to me here as much as he does in his other stories. Like, I felt he was kind of overrated without any base at the beginning. Character development was not so good. I couldn't look through any characters beyond what the author has described and it was too shallow. The language and writing was little stretchy and simple. Also, it started to get little confusing and repetitive in the middle which made my curiosity about the story go down a bit. But it took it's pace again in the last quarter and the things that happened after that was quite satisfying and made me think that I didn't waste my time on this after all. The ending was abrupt since it has a sequel coming. Overall it was good and worth giving a try for the plot.

This is a coming-of-age story of a quiet and serious young college student named Toru who is devoted to a beautiful young woman named Naoko, but their mutual passion is marked by the tragic death of their best friend years before. This is the story of Toru's first, hopeless and heroic love but also a story of monotonous normal life expressed in a beautiful way.

This was such a dark and depressing book that had me traveling back to past and bring out so many emotions that I kept pushing aside for years. Even though it was gloomy and all tragic, a ray of light did come out at the very end. I finished reading this couple of days back but I couldn't bring myself to put my feelings into words because I don't want people to think this one was bad just because it is dark. I am not sure I have the right words even today. It was all about the feelings I felt and I think everyone will definitely have a personal experience with this which can't be put into words. It took a part of me when the story was over and I think that space in mine will always be empty that way. This is what Murakami's writing does to you. This is why I love him so much. This is why this book is my heart. This is why I loved it so much ❤️ I would definitely recommend to each and everyone of you here. READ IT! YOU WILL LOVE IT!

I have heard of different types of weight loss diets and techniques but I have never heard of losing weight depending on our personality type. This book was different when it comes to that. It really did stand out from all other things I have read before. As a Nutritionist, I have my own idea of weight loss techniques and tricks which usually contradicts with other methods I have read before but this one just proved my theories right. There is a personality test in the middle of the book following the rules and fundamentals to know before you find your type and follow the set of tips which is exclusively for your personality type. I did find those tips so useful and the techniques are so simple that anyone can follow and actually stick with it. The idea of the book is not to make you starve or go crazy about dieting to lose weight but to make healthy habits as your lifestyle. It was really so informative and good. You can give it a try if you are one of those who have tried numerous diets and always wonder why nothing works for you. Maybe you will find your answer here.
