You let me down, Darcy. There was a direction I was hoping this would go, but the direction that it went in was NOT it.
So Scooby and pals should’ve been brought in on this one- I’m sure the book would’ve been half as long as it was if they had been. Yeah- the scary monster in the woods? It’s a man DRESSED as a scary monster!
But wait- there is more!
He sets up someone else to take the fall for for him.
Todd was a wasted character- all set up to be obsessed with the missing girl and a potential antagonist to the group only to die.
Oh and can we talk about the KNIFE FALLING OUT OF THE AIR TO LAND IN ANNA’S THROAT!?
What was that?!
Darcy was really out here trying to find a million was to make this book completely unbelievable. I was so excited to read this book, but so disappointed one I actually did.

Admittedly, I’m not a huge Stephen King fan as he tends to wander and get distracted by breasts at the most inappropriate times. However, Pet Sematary was delightfully dreadful and I found myself invested in the characters and the story. While it is by no means a scary book, it is spooky and I enjoyed it!
So if you’re interested in reading a book about a man you would NEVER date IRL- this is it. He’s possessive and also FUCKING CRAZY, but if you are a romance leader that likes those tropes this will do the trick.
It was an entertaining read, though I gotta say its one of those books I mostly enjoyed because the ridiculousness made me laugh my ass off.
Will I read the rest of this series? Probably. Does it have interesting plot? No. Is it realistic? No.
BUUUUT if you like trashy reads than this is for you.

Forced pregnancy and a brother that is more psychotic than the first made this hard to read.
DNFed at 47%. The sex was…dull. Orgasms were earned too easily and there really wasn’t anything for me to connect with- the main characters have no personality.
When I say I hated this, boy do I mean it. It was an absolute chore to read this, which is saying something considering it’s so incredibly short. The characters were shallow, the writing stilted, and the plot… there really wasn’t anything there.

I think this may be my absolutely favorite book. That feels like such a grand statement, but WOW.
Into the Drowning Deep is an incredibly well written, riveting book that not only gives you a strong sense of dread, but keeps you fascinated with what horrors are hidden below the waves.
Beyond that, it makes the scary sea creatures two demential and left me wanting more. Highly recommend- I’ve been searching for a book in the same vein for a while now.
