This is the second book in the Roma Royals duology and I really enjoyed the reading experience!
This follows Pasha - a Roma prince - and Zara - a dispatch call operator who has been brought into Pashas world when a little boy calls 911 asking for help.
This book takes off right where we left on which is really great and the pace was set from the start. At first I thought it was medium paced book, maybe a little slow, but actually in hindsight looking back on it I think it was kind of perfect for the story. Everything was in the right place, nothing felt too dragged out, nothing felt too quick. I think everything kind of got it’s right time.
There were definitely points throughout the reading where I was sat there like “oh my God oh my God what’s gonna happen” and definitely moments I felt my breath being held along with the characters. I had loads of theories to begin with, and more or adjusted ones as I read on and even in the end I still didn’t guess all the twists and turns so it keeps you guessing the whole time which is good and again works with the pace.
This is a dark romance story so there is a lot of steam too which I am a fan on. The sex scenes were definitely minimum 15 rating, leaning towards an 18. There is an undoubted amount of chemistry between Pasha and Zara that feels explosive even reading it.
The reason this isn’t 5 stars is because there were a few small points in the story that I felt were brushed over a little too conveniently but not enough to deter me from the overall story. However I do feel that I could happily read a third book in this series because I still feel there’s some story left for Pasha and Zara and the characters in their world.
TW⚠️: pedophilia, abuse, blood, torture, kidnapping, murder, rough (but consensual) sex

Really good piece of steamy romance.
The characters were fun, well written, loveable, relatable and definitely had 10000megawatts of passion for each other.
The story line and plot twists were fun and exciting.
The sex scenes were steamy, realistic, written well, but importantly also not the whole book. There is a plot line with a very good story that sex is a part of, not the other way around.
Would recommend to anyone interested in reading an enthralling steamy romance novel

A feel-good second chance romance. Overall an enjoyable read with loveable characters and moments. A good quick pace to the book saw me reading it in one sitting, and the fact I really wanted to know “will they get together”.
Things that let it down for me was a bit of predictability in the story line and mediocre at best sex scenes. However the lack of detail in the sex scenes means this is more of an appropriate read for a wider range of readers so that’s is kind of understandable.
Overall a book I’d recommend if you just want something light and fun to read

Amazingly honest, real and entertaining.
Learnt so many things that I didn’t know at all about Elton John, his music and his life, and in such a well delivered way too.
Really funny, insightful and mainly just made me wish I was friends with the man as he sounds amazing.
A great read for anyone, whether you’re an Elton John fan or not

Just as amazing as all of Karen’s other books!
The plot line grips you from the start. This book also had great character development and involvement. You spend the whole time trying to work out yourself who done it, only to be shocked at the end. I like that the person who had done it wasn’t who’d you’d ever guessed originally, and any outside characters were tied into the story really well, not just randomly slotted into the storyline.
Highly recommend for all, from young adult upwards. A really enjoyable read

Personally not the best Helena Newbury book out there but still enjoyable as you read.
The romance and chemistry you expect from the authors books is certainly there, and I love the setting of a hospital drama that this stand alone takes.
However, it’s one of the books least memorable for me hence the 3 ⭐️ rating.
Still an enjoyable, easy romance/drama read that I’d recommend but personally not the authors best I don’t think.
However love that she released another standalone that was perfect winter reading to wrap up inside with for a few days

An amazing final sum up book of the previous 4 stand alone brother books.
Helena Newbury writes easy, good quality romance, with the added adventure bonus in each book.
The fantasy world of danger, with your man protecting you, is a classic, and she writes this world amazingly. Having read all her books, I know I can always expect a good read from her.
Brothers is action packed, family orientated, with the perfect amount of romance and steamy sex scenes that you would expect from the author. A really great book, and I’m so glad the season got concluded this well.

As always a well written, brilliant character development and heart warming, blush causing steamy novel from Helena.
Low scoring for me because I found the plot a little bit far fetched. A girl goes out to seek a magical cure for a hereditary illness that severely crippled the female side of her family. On her adventures she meets captain rourke as he starts to help her, and eventually the two of them tear down each other’s wall and form a romance.
The romance side is great, intense. The back stories of the characters are well done and put in place. The drama in the plot is also really great. However, the plot was just too fanciful for me and a bit too mystical which isn’t something I come to expect from the author.
Would still recommend for anyone who wants a steamy fantasy romance

I’ve now read this book 3 times. Helena Newbury writes great, easy stories that are easy to re-read.
The only reason this book is 4 stars for me is because of all the others of hers I’ve read there’s one more that just beats this one but beats it enough that the other title deserves the five stars.
A slightly untypical bad boy story really as it involves a computer hacking girl, and a hit man from the Russian bratva. The romance that forms tho, is spectacular. By the end of the book they’d die for each other. Although this is slightly more fantasy (in that I presume it doesn’t happen to everyone in their day to day life) I think I love it lore because of that.
Good sex scenes (consistently throughout all her books), a good character development and always really interesting back stories.
Recommend to anyone who like an easy, slightly dark, and steamy romance
