Thank you to victoria cooke and rachelsrandomresources for the ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
This book was so sweet and easy. It features a middle aged mum who has just recently gone through a divorce and is finding herself a little down on luck. So when the opportunity arises to join/form a book club with some other mums in the area it seems like a great opportunity. On top of this, Stephanie gets herself w job for the first time in 10 years working at the local vet where the practice owner is rather something.
This book has such wholesome friendships, giggles and love. Whilst I don’t have 3 children myself, I can imagine the situations that occur to be so realistic. Kids or not, I think everyone can sympathise and relate to feeling down in the dumps, low on luck, and just stuck a bit in life. I definitely feel this book gives a hope to people in these situations.
I think it’s a great book about second chances that really just hits you in the feels. A great summer read for sure!

Okay so honestly I didn’t understand everything but the insults were FIRE in this ahaha.
Definitely one I’d like to watch along to in the future to fully understand it as I think it is probably really funny as an actual stage performance. Also a modern day translation would be good

It was so good getting to see Alex and Violet again but it wasn’t quite as special for me as the first book. Also it turns out Lily and Randy are MY PEOPLE. So honestly I also loved this book to get little glimpses of them ☺️☺️
To start with Alex was really bugging me because he was kind of acting like a massive asshole tbh and very caveman like, but luckily he redeemed himself and realised that all he wanted was Violet 🥰🥰
I liked getting to see little glimpses of the other characters and couples and I’m really intrigued by the set up of Lance’s story.
THE EPILOGUE KILLED. Let me make it known that Helena Hunting is an absolute queen at an epilogue and I appreciate it
A typical smutty explicit book with some really sweet romance scenes and some important conversations too

I’ve never read a book that covers a topic like this so it was really interesting for me!
In the world of Vox, it’s 2016 America and women have been resorted back to living as if it was the 1900s: their husbands/male relatives control everything and have all the power, women don’t work, they stay home keeping the house in order and having babies. Gay people are either paired up to make them straight or are out into work camps. And women are only allowed to speak 100 words a day which are counted with an electronic wrist counter which electrocutes you if you go over your limit.
As someone from this century, living in Britain, I did find it hard to imagine living this life because I just can’t imagine it happening here. However I could also imagine it happening in other parts of the world/ appreciate that in some countries to this day these kind of ideologies are the norm. So this book definitely makes you think.
I loved that the chapters were super short so this was an easy fast paced book for me.
I also like the main character tenacity and willingness to not give up.
Whilst Vox covers some hard topics, and ones that maybe aren’t so fun to consider, I still found this a really enjoyable read and would definitely recommend giving it a try.

The art was so stunning and getting a smaller version of the story was great, just another thing to add to my VA obsession

I was gifted an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. Thank you @rachelsrandomresources

This was a super easy going, fun romance book with some laughs & adventures thrown in.
It follows Stacy, a successful accountant based in New York, whose husband blindsides her with a completely out of the blue divorce. After months of coming home everyday to her too big empty house, & with none of her “friends” really making an effort with her anymore, she decides to head back home to Florida for a holiday. When her mum sends her an old picture of her two childhood best friends, Stacy decides to try reconnecting, & invite them along with her.....& it doesn’t quite go to plan.
This was a really great look at connecting old friendships, whilst also not being afraid to say goodbye to fake friends & toxic people in your life. I really liked the resilience shown by Stacy for overcoming a divorce & moving on with her life. I also adored her mum 😂😂
My drawbacks were that the romance felt too instant love for me, I wasn’t really feeling Stacy & Gavin’s connection but it was sweet to read about.

I definitely enjoyed this book way more than the others I’ve reread so far.
I think that is largely because of the plot twist reveal and the fact you finally get some answers.
Also because for me, Clary, the main character, does start to redeem herself. I really didn’t like her in book 2, as I felt she was very self centred and immature, but I definitely felt she redeemed herself in this book.
I loved seeing the relationships develop in this book, and some of the friendships are so special.
It’s also full of action so really just keeps going constantly from start to finish which makes it a very quick and enjoyable read!

This was so cute! Loved dipping my toe back into the Raven cycle world. And hearing more about Opal was great bless her.
I liked seeing glimpses of the world through her weird childlike yet mature perspective. Opal understood a lot more then a child would, being a dream thing, but also had that innocence that children have.
Hearing little tidbits of Ronan/Adam info was great too.
Plus managing to fit a bit of drama into 45 pages: we love to see it

This was such a lovely, enjoyable, whilst still slightly steamy read. Although it’s a romance book it’s also about self-worth, learning to love yourself, and learning to believe you deserves the best there is out there, and I really enjoyed it!
Kristen Granata has become an autobuy author for me because I always enjoy her books, which whilst often feature quite a hard hitting topic and personal struggles always have a way of making you see hope at the end - and there’s always a happily ever after.
She writes about strong characters which are very present in this book - and I loved that TJ our male lead was the one having to do a lot of the internal fighting and strength finding (makes it a nice change when it’s not always the female lead).
TJ is 100% the type of guy you want as your friend, and Carla is so badass and strong and bubbly. I loved these characters.
I also loved that a lot of the romance scenes LITERALLY gave me butterflies AND PULLED ON THOSE HEART STRINGS 🥺💛
Quite steamy, with some explicit content but not totally I’d probably rate this uk movie certificate 15.
Plus: THERES AN EPILOGUE. And I’m a hoe for an epilogue.
