Still love Flavia de Luce. I like that Alan Bradley doesn't follow a set formula of how his books will unravel. Sometimes with books in a series or by the same author they seem to follow a set route and you can kind of predict where things are headed. Can't wait to start the next one!

Beautifully written, masterfully put together- there is no doubt that Stacy Schiff has a gift. But I found the book extremely difficult to get through!

I was so excited to finally read this book. And maybe that was the problem- too much personal build up. But I was really disappointed. Again, well written, Sarah Blake obviously has a way with words. But the whole time I felt like I was waiting for it all to go somewhere and in the end, it just didn't. When I finally felt like I was getting somewhere, it was over. Nothing was resolved, it felt like the ending was rushed.
All in all, meh.
