A slow start, even for a new series, but intriguing and interesting new characters, Kaliber, a mix of Terminator and Cable (from Marvel), looks really cool! Not so sure how it will turn out, but I wll look into the next one for sure to know!

Fun and cute Caillou adventure. It has info on dinosaur and some advice if you get lost in a public place. Fun and instructive.

In this SEN Superpowers collection, the authors try to positively present special needs students. The subject can’t be closer to be, having dedicated my professional life to those kids with special needs, but unfortunately, I didn’t enjoy this book, or the other I read from this collection. I find the magical thinking behind it looking like it came out from a fairytale and I didn’t find the representation (positive and negative aspects of it) done or explain well. I wouldn’t recommend that book!

3,5/5. A reflection on masculinity in our modern world. The title look cheesy but it does have a good thinking behind it all. I didn’t learn much from it, being what I like to think a well balanced man, but I think it might help people grew and develop themselves as good man. With the feminist movement growing in strength and sometimes going far beyond what it should be, I think that those discussion and reflection are essential in our modern world. How can we develop strong and independent women without asking men to sit and do nothing, or be lapdog? How can we raise strong and intelligent man, without transforming them into bully or being rude, or worst with women? I really hope we should be able to put equality up front, while respecting and accepting that we all have our strength and weakness, and stop running a gender competition that lead to nothing. I hope I made myself clear on this very sensible subject... That being say, it wasn’t the greatest book on the subject, but I really think it can provides good frame of thinking and development to achieved a well balanced way of life!

Magnifiquement illustré! Sincèrement ce livre est un chef-d'oeuvre visuel! Il raconte une histoire qui, sans être des plus originale, est charmante et propose un message de résilience, de courage et nous apprend à surmonter nos peurs pour en ressortir grandi. Très beau livre. J'ai adoré!

2,5/5. Un recueil de nouvelles qui me laisse assez indifférent. Bien écrit, au niveau du style rien à dire, mais du côté narraitf, l'ensemble des nouvelles démarrent très fort, mais tombe ensuite à plat, un peu terne à on goût.

3,5/5. Une sorte de récit biographique sur la vie d'Émily Dickinson. Bien fait et surtout très bien écrit, Chrisitian Bobin ne nous déçoit jamais à ce niveau, j'ai cependnant trouvé que cela apportait finalement assez peu de choses au personnage plus grand que nature qu'est devenue Émily Dickinson.

1,5/5. A book that try to explains/shows that the amount/number of thing isn't always what is the most important, but the message is unclear and not meaningful enough for young reader to get in and get into it. i like the idea behind it, but again... poorly executed!

This is a very simple book, but perfectly done and I have a lot of good things to say about it. First, it help kids learn new vocabulary, mostly focusing on position words. It also present a good model of friendship and social ability while paying. It can also be use has a search and find, so your child can find the animal before the characters of the story. It also contains number from 1 to 10, so again you can teach your kid to count. So a lot of things to learn from it. A good educative choice.

3,5/5. Lu en français. Petite livre absurde/ludique à propos d'une petite fille qui a toujours le doigt dans le nez. Drôle pour les petits et en même temps sympathique pour les parents afin de faire passer un message, celui d'arrêter de mettre le doigt dans son nez. Les illustrations avaient un style qui me rejoint assez peu, mais en général ce livre était intéressant.
