2,5/5. I really like it at first, but with Artemis and Bizarro, it just felt like some weird side Justice League/Trinity show. The art was great and there was some good action, but the general plot and story never captivated me!
Haiku Illustrated: Classic Japanese Short Poems
Yosa Buson, Kobayashi Issa, Matsuo Bashō, Masaoka Shiki
Very great haiku book. It was great for various reason. The art was great, the way the haiku were presented was awesome, they always have one picture, and the haiku written in three way, the alphabetical Japanese, the English version and the original Japanese writing with their own «writing» not sure how to call it, but not the alphabetical one. So that was good in itself, but what was even better was the selection of haiku from, probably the most popular and talented haiku author like Basho, Buson, Issa, Shiki and I think there a few more... Very good, very well edited and totally worth checking it out if you're into those kind of book (haiku or poetry).
4,5/5. Tomie is a weird book, like everything Junji Ito does. It closer to a collection of short stories, even if related somehow, than an actual long unique story. Tomie is the unresistible girl, everybody fall in love and it drive them mads, plus, she can dies, she always come back, multiply and transform. The strange feeling, the weird ideas, the black humor/fun of it made this book very entertaining. I drop it half a star because those stories even if different, have more or less the same pattern over and over and if can become a bit repetitive in same ways. I was going to read it in one sitting and than realize it would be better to stretch it on a couples of days, so I did, and I would recommend readers to do too. Maybe not the best of Ito I think I'd prefer Gyo and Uzumaki, but if you like those, than Tomie is definitely word reading. I love it and will continue to explore this author works!
Way better than expected! I was going in it kind of blind and not expecting much, but it was a lot of fun. Science-fiction horror with big cosmic lovecraftian monster of some sort. Nothing groundbreaking but a fun and entertaining comic which was well done! I enjoy it!
Another great book by Catana Chetwynd. I love this author, I just see my wife and I in almost every situation she draws. This one was as good as her previous too. Some pages look vaguely familiar so i'm not sure if some one were repeated or if it was some that I saw on her Instagram... but anyway the book is totally worth it. It will put a smile on your face, maybe even make you laugh and that is a good thing!
So many good memories, so much fun going back into it with this marvelous boxed set I bought last year and have take a good part of the year reading a couple of strips or pages each day.
This was my favorite comic series as a kid and I was almost afraid to go back into it as an adult and not liking it. No need! This was as good if not more. Those comic, that humor style has so many layers that it was fun in a complete different level. I saw the situation differently, the humor, the social criticism, every felt new and strangely actual! Watterson was avantgardist in many ways when you look at what he writes and talk about n term of social issues 30 years back.
The boxed sets in itself was great! Good quality, well done and totally worth it if you are a fan and would like something nice to reread but also keep and maybe past on one day.
I'm so glad I buy and read it and now I'm even a bit sad it's done. I might reread it all one day, maybe in another 25 years or so and see how it will feel then!

Good one! Matt Haig is definitely a good author. This book is about what made a life a good one? Was is worth living and why we always looking around for a better one? Not only expecting better, but regretting not making the "right" choices. Not the most original trope, but one I like a lot. This book remind me a Mitch Albom (which you could consider checking if you like this one) work a lot, maybe less spiritual and more philosophical instead, but still there is a lot of similarity. And while I do have liked it, I would have like it even better 2 or 3 years ago, because I read a lot of similar book since then and also because the reflection, the way this book will make you thin about your life, is something I already made of lot of time and thinking on in the recent years so it just felt like there wasn't much new thing for me here, but I enjoy the reminder!
Nonetheless a totally worth reading book, it will make you think about your life and maybe even help you through some struggle or harder time. I also think that the actual pandemic situation is a good time to think about what come next and what you want to do with your life. Between a feel good book and philosophical thinking, Matt Haig provides another good novels that I would recommend!

After a strong start and a very intriguing premise this book deliver an entertaining read way better then what I expected going into it. Nonetheless, I drop my rating because of the ending. I love open ending, but there is a difference between open and uncompleted. This book felt uncomplete. To many think left out in the open. I understand there is a second one which might bring some answer, but still it felt like the ending of this one should have bring a bit more answer or resolution to the story. The story itself was fine, easy scifi for YA or teens, easy to go into, enjoyable and even funny at time. Just needed a bit more love in the end!
I hope the original material was better because this is a novel I have high expectations about. Unfortunately this graphic novel/manga adaptation wasn't good. Thin story, thinner characters and nothing that got my attention I also have the second part, but I have no intention of reading it after reading this one. Let's hope I will be more lucky with the original novel!
Did I miss something? Am I too dumb to understand? I don't know, but I don't get the hype! This wasn't fundamentally bad, but this book as nothing to made it good. Boring story, the characters were not really interesting and the humor, well I will just leave it there! This book has an amazing rating on Goodreads, it was praise by people I respect the opinion and I just don't see why. I thought I would read the entire series, but honestly I will top the adventure here. Nothing worth the shot in my opinion!
