Two things for this book. First, I really like the way it focus on the position, how to sit, and how it explain it all so well, choosing word and metaphor easy to understand and remember for children, that was great! My second point, less positive, was that it focus mainly just on the sitting position, not necessarily bad since it's an important part, but I find the title misleading and people could go into it searching or expecting an easy way to go meditate guide, and in itself, it ins't enough. Good basis, very well done, but if you really want to meditate and go even a tiny bit deeper, you will need another book, or tutorial or whatever.
2,5/5. Grumpy is grumpy and that is perfect. The art was not bad, but nothing really attractive or pretty, just a very average okay standard. The story were «funny» and work well, but personally would have prefer shorter one, one or two pages, more cartoons like and less «comic». I think it would have been more punchy, more funny and more fun to read for this kind of humor, but that might only be me...
3,5/5. I like the narrator in this audio book. The voices, the rhythm, the intonation, she did a very good job! The story itself was nice enough, even if I didn't like it much personally. I find it to be way more women fiction orientated than an actual thriller. Sure there is an investigation, but it didn't ever seem like it was the main concern. Five children disappear and we don't feel the urgency at all. Not from the police, not from the family of the children, from no one!
I'd like the topic of family and relationship inside them, again maybe too women orientated, not many men in here, lot of mother daughter thing, but those characters were nice enough so it didn't bother me much, but it would have been even better if those characters would have been develop a bit deeper, a bit better, there was place left for a bit more depth I think.
Finally, I think that it was kind of a realistic thriller in some way. let me explain, sure we didn't get the urgency, the life goes on, the officer continue to have personal life beyond, or behind, or whatever, the investigation, and I think this is more real. I'm not sure that in rel life, investigator, never sleep, give it all to the investigation 24/7 and all that. So that maybe didn't created the more breath holding book, but it did a good one!
Not my favorite thriller style or investigator, but for personal reason more than anything else. I'm an old alcoholic and depressive investigator lover, but it was a good novel, well written with some interesting topic. I could be curious to read or listen from this author eventually!
Personal enjoyment 3/5, potential for a good 4/5. I will go with a fair 3,5/5.

Second read for me. This time in its original English version. Even better! God I love this book! The writing is great, the characters are amazing, the story, even if slow, as something that get you into it, you felt emerge in it like it too rarely happen. Just a fantastic read. A must read for fantasy readers!
Wolverine: The Long Night Adaptation (2019) #5
Marcio Takara, Benjamin Percy, Rafael Albuquerque
Really promising new series. We don,t see Wolverine much in this one, but it's still a very solid storyline, closer the a mystery/thriller, something rare enough in the Marvel universe. Something original, refreshing and dark. Also, the Alaska ambiance is really well done, we feel the city (Burns in that particular case, probably fictional, not verify), the isolation, the little town vibe. Most gripping work I've seen from Marvel in a long time! Let's just hope it will hold on till the end!
That book was good! I wasn't convince at the beginning, lot of personal memories into it and pop culture references, but as we go deeper into it some essays were awesome, a bit like a short stories collection, some were better than others, but the overall quality was really good.
We get deep thinking on horror and we also have good thinking and reflexion on society, human condition, and all that philosophical aspect was very interesting. We also received a good bunch of name dropping, from movies, to books and video games, which I knew most of them already, but I'm a huge horror fans for over two decades now, but new comers will surely discover and note a lot of them to then explore and made new discovery from a genre they love.
So it have various layers (Layer of Fear... video game, had to name drop it) to this book and it made it interesting for various reasons and reach a solid level of accomplishment on all of them. Surprisingly good!

Cute but nothing much more than that here. Kids can learn about friendship and conflict which is good. It was okay!
Typical animal going on an adventure book. It was good but typical. Still had some fun reading it. The text in some page was over some dark illustrations, like dark grass in the first if I remember correclty, so a bit hard to read, it happen maybe two or three times in the book, no big deals, but something editor should be careful about!
3,5/5. Good audibook, the narrator was great and the story itself was fun. Not the most original middle grade «plot», but I like the setting of an unplugged retreat for children and the morale it try to pass on, with subtility to not overtake the story, but still present. The characters were a bit strong on stereotypes, but it didn't bother me much. Overall an entertaining and enjoyable middle grade book with a some depth to it, that compensate for the low originality. I like it!
