Really good! The beginning had me worried for a moment with the big monster fight that wasn't necessary, but then we pick up the more emotional quest of Vader and this it what this series is about and good for in my opinion!
Yeah the Cirque du Freak ends here. I had so much fun reading this series. Twelve books. Almost two years of reading, one every two months more or less. This is a middle-grade series that deserve to be more talk about even if its dated a bit. It has everything I love in children literature. Great characters, action, good plot and twists, which, I mean is also what I like in adult books. I just feel like too often the action, the horror and even the violence is often hide or not present at all. But children can take some, that won't traumatize them and that could even bring them into reading more for some. I'm not saying we should get bloody and gory all over, but a small dose, when it serves the story is totally fine and acceptable. I also like the way the author wrap it up, end it all with this one, it was a nice way to do so. I loved it and now I want to discover more from this author (I know he has written a bunch of series on various names, both children and adult books, just got to think and pick one up).
Books on Corvette are fairly common and they are more often than not, quite good, but this one might truly be the best one I ever put my hands on. Lot of info, good charts, lot of pictures as well and everything is well done, seem relevant, I'm not expert on Corvette, but it seem right and would be a nice gift to every Corvette lovers, who are many!
Good one. The title says most of it. Dino that prepare and enjoy Thanksgiving. I find it good and funny, maybe a bit long for the reader age, but a nice book that can be enjoy in the Thanksgiving season or use to explain to young children what is Thanksgiving. Simple but well done!
I have a mix feelings on this book. I like the way it explain the «microbiology» of the human body, with all the organism in the intestine and all that. It was explain in a good way and easy enough for children to understand it and the illustrations, even if a bit fantastical, were good to make the book and subject attractive. My concern and question is : «Was it necessary?». This book is clearly intent for very young kids and I'm just not sure how relevant this is for children so young. I'm saying that in a general matter, if your kid want to learn about it, this is fine, go ahead and maybe this will grow on him and became a passion or a field of expertise or whatever, but not sure this book will reach a very large public. Nonetheless well done if you're interested!

The last half of it was a bit lighter, but the first half was dark as f**k!! Lot of action, very grim but I say that in a good way, this is what Berserk is. We didn't get much in term of overall evolution in the main plot with this volume, but it was nonetheless very entertaining to read. And again, the quality of the illustrations with these deluxe edition is just insane!
Good work like always with this publisher. A good overview of the dinosaurs (various period, kinds, etc.). instructive and visually well presented so it would catch kids attention.
Small minus here, I won't penalize it much in the ratings, because I think it's a files issues and not a overall quality issues of the true physical or even true digital book. The illustrations look very bad, full of pixels and blurry. But recently I've been contact with some publisher, after bad reviews, saying that NG limited the file size, so they have to downgrade the quality of there digital files in order to fit in. If so, well NG should try to improve that because it provides a «sample» that isn't truly accurate and so it's hard to give a fair review on a downgraded product...

If not, a very nice encyclopedia, true to the DK standard quality. Lot of info, visually well presented, well organized as well, illustrations looks promising and just a massive book. Good job!

I was expecting something more funny and I end up reading a more moralistic book, not saying that as a bad thing necessarily. A kid have trouble staying still, we get social situation were it get him into trouble and then so on. Could be a good way to introduce a discussion with children, to explain why some kids have more difficulty not moving around and how to help or interact with them. It was well done, but not what I was going into at first.
