A day with Simone would have been a better title. The museum is just a small part of it. Simple story and art, everything is still good, but just a bit blank, empty to make it reach a better rating. A fair and well deserve three stars!
2,5/5. At first I really enjoy this book. The style, the format in which it was written did please me a lot. Small thoughts, observations and ideas. I also like the way it talk about the northern Canada, the people living there, their culture, also the social criticism the author does. Everything was great, even if we didn't really get what the title seem the promises us.
By the half of it I start getting worried a bit. What please me at first also contribute to create a book that feel like it didn't have a great cohesion, fluidity or connection between itself, we go from here to there but we really don't get anywhere and we end up finishing the book with an uncompleted feeling like we lack something.
It should have been edited better, because this is clearly an editing fails for me, and the purpose, the main goal of the book could have been clearer. Felt like the author lost himself in it.

Wow!
3,5/5. Nice little book. It looks a bit «low budget» for not saying cheap, with very casual artworks, but it suits it well. A book that is all about putting the appearances aside and going beyond that to discover people, or dog. I like the message. Simple made good!
Well well... First, let me say I like the purpose of this book, overcoming your worry or fear is an important topic to discuss with children, and this book does that quite well. My main concern with it was the visual presentation, it looks a bit cheap and it felt closer to a non-fiction than a fiction, because ti seem so concern on making its point clear, that it forget to tell a fun and enjoyable story. It you're looking for a fun read, don,t do it, but if you're looking for something to open up a discussion about anxiety and worry, then, this might do the job!
This isn't my kind of book, the story was too tin and I didn't enjoy the art. But, I have a huge amount of respect for the work the author put in his work. Doing those «illustrations», those montages, should have take a lot of time and I like the originality and the creativity behind it. So even if I didn't enjoy it, I respect it and think it deserve a fair rating!
4,5/5. A change of focus, kind of a continuity but also some new elements in the overall plot and storyline. I was a bit worried at first, but it builds something interesting and it's still intriguing. The characters are also fun and likeable as always, so I'm still totally in and I enjoy it!
3,5/5. I felt let down a bit by this book. Don't get me wrong, it is a good one, but I had such high expectations for it that it wasn't able the fulfill them. Like in the first book. Silver in The Wood, the writing of Emily Tesh is stunning. Smart, poetic and very pretty. Another good point was the universe, like her previous novella, the author, again, bring us into an enchanted world with magical creatures and places. Why do I drop my rating then? Because this time, the characters and the story didn't grip me like the previous one did. I never felt totally invest in it emotionally and even if I enjoy it, I can't say I was amazed by it. Still worth the shot if you like Emily Tesh, but I wouldn't say it is essential, even if you like Silver in The Wood.
That bring me to a more editorial part of my review. Novella... I'm not the biggest fan of them but I like them when they bring me a cool concept or world that maybe wouldn't have been possible or «worth» stretching it out into a full regular novel. So the media have it's place. But, if you have the substance to write a sequel to a novella... than, and this is a very personal opinion, you should have wrote a novel in the first place. So novella sequel are a big question mark in my head and on a very thin line between artistic choices or marketing works... I will live it there for you to think about it, or not!
Finishing this review, just a final word about Emily Tesh unquestionable talent and I will without any doubt be interest in reading her future work!

What a surprise! I was going in blind, not even knowing I had already read others comic from this author and like them. Anyway, this was such a cool comic and a series I would loved to continue on. It have solid characters, deep and cool settings and universe, perfect balance between story line and action and the art was cool. Truly a comic worth noticing!
