Lemire does it again! What an amazing creativity from this guy! We find the theme he like here, family, something always present in his work. And with it come a weirdness, a fantasy element, that put the work in motion. From there we just enjoy the ride. The subject, the style, the arts, the storytelling, the characters, everything. If you’re a Jeff Lemire fan you will most probably enjoy and if not then why not us it to discover one of the greatest comic/graphic novel artist of our days!!
2,5/5. I was going into this one expecting something similar to Gregory Suicide since it's by the same author. I was wrong. Totally different in every aspect. I nonetheless like the artwork, a weird style, some old school but with a touch, it was pretty enough. My problem was with the story. It felt too weird, like the author pitch his ideas right in without a second thought. So we get a bit of humor, which didn't work well with me, just wasn't my style, and a story that seem to go in every direction while going nowhere. I can't say I enjoy and I won't continue the series. Good and bad, I like the originality of it, and, I said the same thing about Gregory Suicide, this author has real talent, but his work always look a bit unfinished, rushed or just not polished. I don't no how much time he put into them and I'm not here to judge or anything, but it look to be like he could achieve something was better by putting more time into a second or third look and by a better editing job. Just my opinion...
First, I don’t have children and I never will (not my first choice, but it’s what it’s) so maybe the parental humor was less there for me, but I truly felt like I could have enjoy a good laugh about being a parent nonetheless. But I didn’t!
This is a typical web comic cartoon book. The art was okay for those kinds, but the humor, the «writing» was a bit easy. Like it will put on a smile on your face if you saw it on Instagram or whatever. But buying it, going cover to cover, well that was just mehh! for me.

3,5/5. First time with this author and even if I did enjoy reading it, I can’t say it was a favorite of mine. The book propose an interesting and original characters as a podcast host. That was good. The story, was fine as well, very mysterious, who done it kind of thing. I wouldn’t say it was particularly thriller, to be honest it even felt a bit long to me, some part were repetitive, felt stretch a bit, and we just bounce around maybe a bit too many secondary characters, but the mystery part was good. The ending was okay, might even say good, but very classic, with the final confrontation, the afterward and the «there might be a continuity to our protagonist story».
In the end, it was an enjoyable read, an author who knows how to write, that I might reread willingly in the future, but that won’t become an insta read or buy for me.

This was a good children book which was all about respecting others with or without difference. Physical difference isn’t important we all are humans and we should respect, not even necessarily like, but respect each others. Always important and it just fit perfectly in the actual movement that is going on. Worth reading and discussing it afterward with children!
Very center on this contest that both class have. So e get some new cool move and good action, but basically nothing in term of story evolution and that's why I didn't have the choice to drop it one star.

I ain't the biggest fan of those comic anthology, but I like this one. We get a lot of variety in art style and story style as well. Some are better than other, but overall we get a good quality of story. My only concern, and it isn't for this book in particular, but all comic anthology, is that we get short story of comic story. Something between 5 to 10 pages is very short in comic and I just feel like we get just too few pages to get into each story. I would have like maybe a bit less story but more depth in them. Still very enjoyable and fun for every Joker fans!
This volume was awesome. We get the ending of the contest in the beginning and then get back to more serious matter. I really like the idea of focusing a bit more on the villains, because I think there is some depth to take from there in those characters and also to bring villains that want to attack the villains is as much funny as it's original, it bring some perspective in the old good against villain battle. After a slower and more light one, the author really bring something more with it. This was a great one!
Well done children book that was all about empathy, something we clearly lack in our modern days. Straight in my alley, with a fun little story, good artwork and most of all an important message, easy to get for children, but that also set the table for an interesting discussion following the reading. Maybe a bit too obvious or easy morale, that’s why I drop one star, but totally worth reading!
3,5/5. A children book about the love of words, building vocabulary and the dictionary. I totally respect what it try to accomplish, and it does it fairly well, but I think that the story may be put aside a bit too much, I would have like the story to be a bit more solid and entertaining for children, even if that mean, cut a bit of the «educative» part. I did like that the narrator was a dictionary that was both funny and original.
