An humoristic book about a girl building a real full size sand castle with people living in it and all, but then trouble happen because sand is not the most «friendly» construction material. The humor was good, I wasn't a big fan of the art, the castle part was good but the characters wasn't. Interesting and original. Worth it!

Always the same with this collection. Good, well done, and even if sometime the biography is too short or goes by too fast on some element, the result is still educative, interesting and above all, inspiring!

This author sure does a great job with this series. Presenting lot of amazing people from various background or field of expertise. You have to check out her work!

Such a funny story. The mouse is sure that the owl want to be her friend when it's clear he just want to eat it. Funny «stupid/absurd» humor that can help work second degree humor with kids and a very fun and entertaining read. I love it!

Good small repertoire of artist with an illustration representing them, a small biography and major work of their career. Their are well divide in different genre/style so whatever you like some of them should interest you. An interesting book to discover new artist, or rediscover some, and add to your cultural reference/knowledge. Good job!

Kind of a encyclopedia of monsters. What they it, what they look like, type of monsters and more. Funny, nothing much original but well done, good illustrations and something small children will always enjoy. Alright!

4,5/5. A cute story with stunning artwork about a girl and her grand-mother. The book is all about family, and how grand-parents can bring something to their grand-children, their experience, their memories, their skill. Truly a beautiful message in this book. I like it!

Really beautiful art in this book. Unfortunately the story was starting strong but soon felt into something kind of «heavy» subject that wasn't handle very well in my opinion. The principle of being perfect or not is a good subject for a children book, but the presentation/execution of that particular subject in this book was a failure, again in my personal opinion. Didn't like it!

First I just want to say that this edition contains The Book of Five Rings, but also The Book of Family Traditions on the Art of War by Yagyu Munenori. I thought I was worth mentioning!

The first book (Book of Five Rings) is the better one, but both present various thinking on the mindset and the «art» of martial arts/fighting, in duel style or in a more military approach, which can also be apply in a personal life, by the philosophical aspect of it all. I was expecting maybe more of the philosophy, when it's truly battle based, but I like it a lot. If you're into samurai, zen, art of war and stuff like that this is definitely a classic that you need to read!
