Taking a good old scary urban legend and putting it into a novel format might look like a good idea, but there is a reason why urban legend are short... they don't have much to provides for longer storyline and after a while reading you can't help but feel it felt stretch a lot. The author might have done a better job at adding perspective, depth to his characters and better background, but he didn't. I didn't like this book. I still would recommend you to read the original legend, which can easily be fun on the Internet. I read it years ago, maybe 15 years ago or something..., but I remember it to be good, and it's very short, something like less then half and hour read.
2,5/5. Not sure about this one. A book that tell stories about various species of trees, where they're from, how some culture use them and what for. One page story, one page illustration of the tree, and then we move to another one. Original piece of works, but even I have great interest in trees, I can't say I fell in love with this book. it lack a little something that I have hard time to pinpoint...
Pointless! Honestly I read the description and I read the book and I can't find any of the educative and positive message from the description in the book. It just have nothing in it. An empty shell...
Elise gravel style of writing, drawing and humor, all in a informative book about bats. This informative/funny book combo isn't one of my favorite, but that is only personal, Children will probably learn and laugh and I can,t go against that!

Great comic adaptation. I never read the original book so I can't compare, but this was a really fun, dark, creepy children comic. Now I want to read the original book!
What can be seen has a political satyr isn't working that well here because of the execution but also by the targeted readers. Who want to read political satyr book to 5 years old children? I'm not sure! But I'm sure I'm not!
Good place left to the imagination and the «acting» between the parents and child while they are reading it, so that is a positive element but unfortunately that's about the only one...
The dad might be the dumbest dad of children book, but this is a good one. The illustrations have a very pretty and calm vibes in it, a softness. The story is light, but it allows you to play some sort of search and find with the baby in every page, easily enough to find, but young children will probably laugh finding it and seeing that the dad doesn't. Well executed!
