Nothing much in this one, an illustration that change very little from one page to another, always the same canvas/frame, and more or less no story. A bit of humor that some children might enjoy, but seriously there’s not a lot to make this book worth it.
I was waiting for this one for a while now. Glad it was out this week! Very good issue and series as well. We learn a bit more about what is going on but there is still a lot of mysteries around it all. The relation between Shiva and Teacher keep evolving as well and I really like this duo! Going to wait another 3-4 months for the next release!
A chase... that's all there is here. We didn't learn much. We know Batman isn't well mentally and we continue into this nightmare/insanity adventure but this issue in the overall series is alright but by itself not much. Not bad but a bit disappointed!
3,5/5. A short stories book that has a great ability to start from casual scene of life that rapidly, sometimes a bit more slowly, gets out of hands and pick the reader by surprise. People struggling, trying to do get by and for many reasons just have to deal with hard/strange situation. Better than expected, well written and entertaining. It lacks the wow effect to get a higher rating for me, but a good read.
4,5/5. I want to read more first contact novel this year and when you look for some top 10 on the internet, this one is always high on the list so I decide to have a look. What a book! What a weird book! But what a book! This is mostly a very slow story so if you like fast pace action science-fiction, you should stay away, no space ship battle here. It’s a book that mixed philosophy, anthropology, science-fiction and a lot of religion/spirituality. It makes you think about the cultural difference, the way society work, the order in the universe vs a big chaos and so much more. The ending is pretty disturbing but it really finished the book by putting all the pieces together and we finally understand all that’s happen. Like I said, a slow pace book/story, but if you like deep thinking, strong storyline and something quite original even more if you consider it was written around 1996) then you should really look into this one. My only minus would be about some science elements that don’t always made a lot of sense, but hey, that’s science-FICTION so that’s no big deal!
This book is kind of an outdoor travel guide for the city of London and it made me realize how far away I was in my imagination about this city. I never been to London, but I always thought it was a very urban city, and this book prove the contrary. Lot of green space, park, water, open space, garden, a lot of green/natural place to see or visit and it just make me want to visit even more and I hope I’ll be able to do so one day. Good book, good quality picture and lot of cool place to discover! A job well done!
Lot of battle and fighting but not much story evolution. Still Like it a lot! Maybe not the strongest of the series but good enough to deserve a fair five stars!
Nothing for it. Nothing against it! A low average issue! I was expecting more...
3,5/5. Well done arts and a good story for this volume of Flash. A bit too teeny/childish for me to dig in the entire series but I still have enjoy reading this volume! Never were a big Flash fan but getting to like it more and more over the recent years!
A story about becoming who you want to be, respect and resilience. Good positive and strong message so that's a good point for it. The story, if we put the message aside, is alright, but nothing much more then that and the illustrations are in hand draws pen colored style that will charm you or not. I find them cute, but a bit simplistic/minimalistic for my personal liking. A book that doesn't reinvent anything, but did a good job doing what it try to do!
