No... nothing here for me. Yes there is a a sentimental message in it, but we lost it in the story and I never really care. The illustration have a unique style which is good, but that style didn't please me, really not, and I think it may have been an important point of me disliking this book. Sorry...
A really beautiful book in between the biography and the illustrations book, because the guy is an illustrator in the comic world (mostly super-hero, for Marvel, and science-fiction). I loved to seen those amazing art pieces, Jim Starlin have some talents, and I really enjoy discover comic (often old one) that I didn't really knew about. For the comic/illustrations fans.
4,5/5. There were some parts in the middle of it that may have been shorter or just left out, but if not, this is a really good book. It's started really good, a year after the first one, with good «political» plot and a trial. The second and last part is more action, battle, new creatures as well and interesting characters evolution. The ending is just mind-blowing and I can't wait to read the third and final one (I know there is a fourth one actually, but it's a prequel so...). I will probably read it next week or the one after... but I'm really excited. Good book and an excellent series!
Very short portraits of various women from all around the world and from various fields of activities as well. Not bad, but not that good neither. I don't have much to say about it...
A nice wordless book, there is no word here, only illustrations, but it still bring a good and easy enough to understand message. A story about the way we see the world (possitive/negative) and how it's more or less just in our mind. The illustration are beautiful and the message is good and important. It's a good book !
Funny and instructive. This is a book about frienship and reptile. We learn a bit about those reptiles, we laught too and we have fun reading a good story. Well done!
A very light story, but funny enough and good illustrations that really catch the eyes. A book to read just for fun and having a good time with your kid.
A mix of many thing. A bit of humor, a bit of a message about perseverance, a touch of vocabulary learning and so it goes. Not bad in any way, but it just doesn't feel strong enough in any neither to feel really good. I would say average. The illustrations have a interesting style, but not really attractive for young eyes unfortunately!
Non-fiction book that try to explain the basics of robotic to children, something around 8 years old probably. It presented a series of prototypes design for various purpose, while explaining why and how there are made (very basically). Well done, easy to read, accessible to a young public. If you have a chil who have an interest in robot, this book might please him!
Crazy real story about a girl who was very very tall (2,40m or almost 8 feet). Real life story written with simplicity. Same thing for the illustrations. All here is simple, without pretention, yeah there isn't much in it, but in the end it's a good book.
