I really enjoy this one. Not that there is a lot in it, but I just find the idea of the parallel world with the hordes and different timelapse very interesting!
Tricky title here. Scratch is in fact the name of a software that kid can use to learn the basic art of coding. I was expecting more of a documentary/informative book, but it's a way more a manual of how to use Scratch. Not bad... but you know... a manual!
Really good epic battle against a very hard villain/monster, but just not enough story development for a five stars!
Easy and funny illustrated book for kids to show them how to use the bathroom, or the toilet to be more specific. Done with humor, like it is an army mission, it may catches some kids attention more then other but it's well made. There is also kind of a chart at the end where you can mark underwear (starting at private and all the way up to general) when your child does a day without accident. I though it was a cool idea!
I always try not to be rude when a review a book but sometime it seem like people are trying really hard to push me there. First, this book as very sketchy drawing, there not ugly, in fact kind of cool minimalist style, but very very basic, like kid's drawing. My problem really start here. I loved children book who talks about the death of a loved one, because I think it's a very important part of life, and it can be hard to talk about it with kid, so the book are there to help. This book doesn't help at all. It go on the subject in a really strange way in so many points (the young one find the dead body of his grand-father, he stay with the death body during mostly all the story, the bury it with the nose and feet out, etc.) and at the end, the characters go back to their thing, like anything happen. All that in a afternoon... So the story, in my opinion, is very wrong and doesn't aboard death in a go way at all. Last point, I don't usually comment on book price, but this one will be sell at 18$ us. It's a good amount of money for a book, and way too much for a book who clearly not wroth any of it.
Sometimes author and editor should take a step back and ask themself is it really worth publishing!

Wow!! Quel roman. Bravo!
A strange subject which I have difficulty to understand. This book is «based» or inspired by a real person so I just want to be careful and respectful in it, because this person probably have a hard life with all that and doesn't want to had to it or be disrespectful in any way. I just think it's strange to think that a person think that is gender is not the right one at a very young age. I think that gender identity is in construction for a while in your life and that just accepting the fact that not it's okay you may not be a boy or a girl but you are the other one so young is weird. But I.m not living it, maybe when you live that you just feel it and it's all too clear for you. Anyway... the book present the subject very well and aboard it in a good and easy way for explaining or talking to other kids about it. So in that sense the book is very good even if I still feel a bit weird about this «problematic».
A bit more politic/talking issues, but still good, the storyline evolve and progress well so even if it's a bit low on action, it's still a good one!
