This seems like a terrible place to work, tbqh.

I never would have picked this up based on the cover, but multiple friends said I would like this one. They were right.

Maybe the coziest smut I've ever read?

Honestly, what the fuck?  And I don't mean that in a complimentary way.

I was into this, even though the dialogue was sometimes stilted bc the vibes were great. And then it just completely fell apart into nonsensical territory in the third act.

Please see first paragraph.

(2.9 on my rubric, but this is not a three star book.)

I laughed a lot of the way through this, which maybe wasn't intended, but was exactly what I needed when I needed it.

Not going to mince words, this book fucked. me. up.

I wanted to read it all at once, but I'd get about 50 pages in before my ears would start buzzing and I'd be forced to put it down to stare at nothing for several minutes. Then I'd put it down and come back the next day. Rinse, repeat.

Sitting with the ending for a bit before calling it, but this is in the running for my book of the year. Be prepared for me to be shouty as hell about it for the next several months.

Deeply unserious, but with immaculate vibes. The surprise
knotting
took me aback, and there's also the dubious consent and war crime situations. And yet, still so much fun?

This was completely fucking ridiculous and I can't even say that I liked it, but I'm absolutely going to read the next book.

Even though not everything about this worked for me (I was expecting more about the enclave vs fringe divide, and also more outright horror), I still found it nearly impossible to put down.
