I love this series and the audio is one of my favorites. If you haven't listened to a book narrated by Fiona Hardingham, you should go listen to this series...not only do you get a great narrator, but you get a fantastic book too! This will be on my "books I will love forever" shelf...forever. :)

Their Duchess is the second book in the Theirs series by Jess Michaels. While this is a series, you don't necessarily need to read them all or in order so you can definitely pick this one up any time.

The main characters in this book are Anna (widowed Duchess), Oliver (her driver), and Ezra (a reclusive painter who offers them shelter in a storm). I thought Michaels did a great job of setting this story up and building the relationships in a short amount of time.

Anna had an unhappy marriage and now that her husband is dead, the new Duke has his sights set on her and she is not interested but she doesn't have many options as her dead husband never set up anything for her. Oliver has always been attracted to Anna and after a mysterious night in a club, Anna has been drawn to him as well but they've never acted on it outside of that one episode. As they cross paths with Ezra and are given shelter, he challenges them to open up and allow feelings to override the rules Society has placed on them.

Ezra has his own past to come to terms with and Anna and Oliver push him to face his demons and they all learn to accept each other regardless of past history, current expectations, and difference in status.

I definitely recommend this book / series if you are looking for a steamy read. Michaels definitely doesn't shy away from the sexy bits and the relationship building portions are well done. I'll be picking up more from this author in the future.

This was a quick and easy read. I thought Lancaster did a good job of building out who these characters were in the short amount of time she had. Of course with shorter stories you run the risk of missing out on some detail but I thought Lancaster hit the right points and gave me enough information to get invested in these characters.

The story itself was interesting and the pacing was just right. If you're looing for a quick read - definitely check this one out.

I have to admit, Roses in Red Wax caught my eye because of the cover. It is my first book by this author so I wasn't sure how it was going to go but I ended up enjoying the story and am looking forward to more books in this series.

The fmc in this story is Jane Stuart and I thought Mayberry did a great job of building out who she was / her background. At first it was a little fuzzy as to what was going on moving from the prologue to the story but I found myself enjoying her as a character. I also thought the relationship she had with her brother was well done too. As she is introduced (and initially pretty offended by) to Percy Sommerbell, the nephew of a friend, she has to make some decisions that will not only impact her but his future as well.

I thought Mayberry did a good job of building out the character's backgrounds to help drive the story forward. It isn't without conflict and as more is revealed it becomes clear as to why Jane and her brother are in the situation they are in. And when Percy has to face the fact that he now has responsibilities, it all comes together for these two...but not without some hardship.

This was a pretty quick and enjoyable read. If you're looking for a new adult historical romance series to start, consider picking this one up.
