This is book five in the Hazards of Dukes series by Frampton but I haven't read the other books and was able to follow along pretty well so would say this can be read as a standalone.

I enjoyed this book. When Olivia shows up at her old village to claim her inheritance, Gabriel is there to prove the he is the rightful owner of the property. The characters were interesting and I loved how their relationship developed over the time they were together searching and trying to prove the other one wrong. Of course, they can't stay all alone in a house in the country so they agree (kind of) to be engaged while they search for the proof they need.

If you're looking for a quick and engaging historical romance, definitely pick this one up. I look forward to more from Megan Frampton.

I really enjoyed this book! It was my first one by Stacy Reid but won't be the last.

The characters were well developed and the relationship that was built up between Mina and Simon was believable and well done. Mina's willingness to just jump in to do whatever it takes to help her brother (and herself) was admirable and she wasn't one to shy away from a challenge...which made this story interesting.

I loved that Simon was willing to consider Mina to be his secretary even though that was pretty scandalous for the time and this created a great avenue for them to build a relationship that included friendship and respect.

If you're looking for a quick and engaging read in the historical romance genre, I recommend picking this one up. I'll definitely be reading more by Stacy Reid.

I enjoyed this one! The characters were well developed and the progression of their relationship was done well. Artemis is driven and has no interest in marriage but she is willing to undergo a season to get one for her sister. Dominic is looking for a wife to help him with his daughter but with rumors abound saying he murdered his last wife, he's having a difficult time. When these two meet, sparks start to fly and their story kept me turning the pages to see how things would end up.

If you're looking for a quick and engaging read in the historical romance genre, definitely pick this one up.

I grabbed this book as I was looking for a new historical romance and this was only ok for me. I thought the story was interesting but the book seemed too short to really get into the character's stories. It felt a bit rushed in the beginning but again, I think that was due to the length of the book.

I thought Elise's backstory was interesting and would have liked to know more about her time between when she ran and when she was married to Ross. Also, Ross and his brothers appear to have some influence but nothing was ever really explained as to why...other than that they are the strongest warriors. It is possible that I missed this from book one as this is the second book in the series.

I thought the way Ross was with Elise was well done. He understood her reasons for distrust and didn't hold anything against her as she learned to trust him.

I thought this was a solid story and will check out other books by this author. I might also pick up book one just to see if there was anything I was looking for that was explained in that installment.

I really enjoyed Odd Earl Out by Anna Bradley. This is book two of the Games Earls Play series and if you haven't read book one yet, now is a perfect time to pick it up and read before diving into this book.

Juliet Templeton and Miles Winthrop are our main characters in this book and I actually enjoyed both. When Juliet shows up (unexpectedly) at a house party Miles is throwing at his estate, Miles is not interested in having her stay. That is, unless Juliet agrees to help his cousin woo the woman he fell in love with.

As Juliet and Miles work together they are drawn to each other more and more. I loved how Bradley built the relationship between these two.

If you're looking for a great historical romance with interesting characters, an engaging story, and lovely romance, definitely check this one out. I'll be looking forward to the next one.
