Ooh, this might be my favorite Emily Henry book! (It helps that I am a librarian at an elementary school) loved the character development, how their flaws were real, but not just dropped in; and also that the secondary cast of characters and their relationships were also important to the storyline. I forced myself to slow down and savor the tale and I am glad that I did.

The second book might be even better than the first! Excellent mystery, we get to know Veronica and Stoker even more, the banter continues to be excellent, and I found this mystery to be a great way to introduce more characters and also seem believable. The narrator of this audiobook series is phenomenal and I will continue to listen my way through the series. 

This is the kind of book that would be great to have bedside, reading an entry or two before bed. Because I borrowed it from the library, I read it over the course of a week. Interesting to see her beautiful illustrations and read about birds on the West Coast.

I wish the characters had been as well developed as the first book in this series. It felt like some storylines that could have added depth and were interesting were dropped like a bread crumb that may get picked up in Book 3. That being said, I did enjoy this book and was happy to be back on the Rebel Blue Ranch. I am looking forward to the next part of this series.

OK, this hurt my brain and I may need to re-read it just to understand it better (if that is possible). What an impressive writing from two authors! I hate to give any spoilers, so I will just say that I am so glad I read this book even though I think I might understand only 45% of the storyline.
