Hard to rate a non-fiction book, especially such as this one. Can't rate facts, can rate writing. And well, it's a good one ! Managed to clear out a very complicated situation, that is the killing, for his unknowing reader, that is me. Well done, for the work of analyse and expertise itself, as well !
Although the unchronological order of the book can make it hard to follow at times. And I know it's not a fiction, but it still, at times, felt a bit too... facty ? not enough literary ? Hard to explain.
All in all, a nice book, which satisfied my curiosity about Columbine and what happened there, but that required an effort of me to reach the end.

Kinda hard to describe. All in all, this is a great memoir ; one that smells of truth, and that tastes of horror. Abuse, narcissistic mother ? Yeah, I recognized it all. Very interesting, very comforting in that I did not misdiagnosed my own mother. I believe wholeheartedly that this is all the truth, even more, that it's way worse than it was painted.
My issue is with the writing. Too ''journalistic'' for me. I'm a lover of memoirs that feels like classical fiction books, and this one doesn't so much. It's kind of weird as well, the way it goes from past to present. I understand it, doesn't mean I'm more of a fan.
Although it remains great writing, nice, forgotten words, and generally beautiful sentences. This memoir deserves all the love it can get ; it's just I, personally, who didn't find it to my taste. Not a critic of the book itself ! Please, do read it.

Absolutely brilliant, incredible, underrated book. Heard of it by accident, surprise ; I'm so glad I checked it up. This is THE book you need to read to understand how exactly is that world fucked up. Although it's showing the reality of the prison's world, to be true, it's showing our disgrace of a disgusting species in all its splendor.
A bit hard to read, because it's a very specific writing style. A terrific one, that is worth every effort.
A woke book. The best book I've read in a long, long time.

Brilliant book, right on point with the current Earth situation. Read it with clear eyes and an open heart. Suzanne knows what's up.

Incroyable ! Spectaculaire, vraiment.

Good book, informative, clear, on point. Still got bored right at the end, so came back to finish it now ; it's very repetitive, as I found it. Which only bothers me, for such a subject, because I've been reading a lot of books like that. Do not mind my note, go read that book! It's a very important one for whoever is struggling with gaslighting, or might be.
