Bon, écoutez. Le souci, quand on enchaîne une saga comme ça, c'est qu'on finit par manquer d'adjectifs positifs puisque le niveau ne descend pas. Pas d'exception en l'occurrence, c'est toujours super, je ne m'ennuie pas et je kiffe toujours autant cette série fantastique si chère à mon ancien coeur d'adolescente. 

Et nous sommes de nouveau de retour avec cette incroyable saga aux personnages délicieux et aux dialogues si drôles ou touchants. Je ne peux plus m'arrêter de lire, aujourd'hui, semblerait-il. Et c'est normal, quand on sait la beauté de cette saga. A noter, que cette seconde trilogie dans la saga est bien plus sombre que la première, ce qui est au final cohérent avec une héroïne qui évolue et le temps qui avance., inéluctable, détruisant tout sur son passage comme certaines créatures inhumaines ou juste pas assez humaines de ce monde fantastique. 

Super conclusion à une super saga, comme on pouvait s’y attendre.
Comme dans les deux autres tomes, un univers incroyablement vivant qu’on a juste envie de découvrir entièrement, des personnages attachants qui te donnent envie de les protéger, et une histoire de héros assez classique (mais ici c’est une héroïne, et c’est super féministe donc… on adore).

CEPENDANT. C’était quoi ce délire à la fin avec les "interviews des personnages" ?
Duom, qui devient limite pédophile d’un coup, en train de baver sur une gamine de 18 ans alors que dans les livres il est présenté comme un papy (et c’est très bien comme ça, d’ailleurs) ? Ellana qui part complètement en vrille ? L'absence de cohérence avec le ton de l'histoire, avec les personnages eux-mêmes, like wtf ??????
Nope, ça m'a non seulement pas plu, mais en plus profondément révoltée.

Et c’est ultra frustrant, parce que tout ce qui vient après, je l’ai adoré : tout le passage sur le fait que « les personnages ne sont pas inventés par les auteurs, mais découverts », et autres réflexions d’écrivain. J’ai vraiment pris plaisir à lire ce que l’auteur ressent par rapport à ce métier si particulier qu’est l’écriture... j'aurais juste apprécié qu'il déraille pas soudainement avec le délire précédent.

Une fois de plus, un exceptionnel roman de Pierre Bottero. Ecoutez, ça va être compliqué, mais je vais continuer de trouver de nouveaux adjectifs positifs pour ses livres, parce qu'ils méritent, et fort. De nouveau ici, on retrouve nos personnages préférés, dans notre monde qui donne réellement envie d'être visité, avec des dialogues souvent hilarants, et parfois larmoyants... Réellement, un bonheur.

Bien sûr, que j'ai déjà lu ce livre des dizaines de fois dans ma jeunesse. Et bien entendu, que j'ai toujours autant de plaisir à retrouver cette série, même si de nombreuses années ont passé entre deux. Je ne suis plus le public cible des romans dits "jeunes adultes", mais les livres de Pierre Bottero demeurent parfaitement accessibles à tout un chacun, "vieux" adultes y compris. C'est un bonheur sans limite que de retrouver Camille/Ewilan, Salim, Edwin et tous les autres personnages d'une des meilleures sagas de fantasy que la Terre ait connues... Et en plus, d'un auteur français !

The Radium Girls is one of those books everyone should read. Those that tell us recounts of horrible, unfortunately too-real stories. The types we see over and over again under capitalism.

 " ‘The radium girls,’ the governor announced, ‘deserve the utmost respect and admiration . . . because they battled a dishonest company, an indifferent industry, dismissive courts and the medical community in the face of certain death."  

In this case, we discover how a greedy-ass company kept murdering its own employees by lying to them, all in the name of profit. How, as well, the legal system kept fighting the victim off, once again because the company had money. How, finally, the medical industry did not help as much as it could, once again, we assume, because it's bad business. Or because the victims were women. Maybe, even, because they were poor women. Yup, equality never fucking existed under capitalism.

I hate so much this world. Everything that happened, that keeps on happening, all these girls, dead and suffering, all this nightmarish, dystopian shit... for a few men to get even richer than they already are? Screw them. I'm left with a bitter taste in mouth upon finishing this book. I believe it is the radium, still seeping through our atmosphere, reaching our food and my tongue in the global indiference of a thoughtless society.
 

 Bring on the revolution, please. When will we unite? Every second keeps counting. Especially, seeing as History repeats itself. Nothing ever changes when the system remains the same.
 

Let's remember, this time.

Another very nice lesbian rom-com. No particular plot to keep us hanging, which means everything is resting on the author's ability to make us feel her characters' emotions. And she's managing just fine! Cried once, laughed many times. Loved it, although some things are left unexplained towards the end - Darcy and her mom's, what's that about, you know? I like a book who answers every question it asks. 
Other than that, it truly was a nice read :)

Stellar writing, spectacular story. NOT your usual LGBT rom-com (not that there's anything wrong with it to start with!). A mysterious quest for love and unresolved personal issues, some great, loveable characters, that you just want to scoop up in your own arms and become family with. And in a way, you do! This book had been on my TBR for a while, and I'm glad I read it now. I neededboth the warmth and the LOL moments it brought on. 
Also, bravo for its diverse string of characters and its anticapitalism speeches. Loved it all.

This was a very, very great romance. As well as a very, very nice book. We've got everything ; (somewhat) friends to lovers, tension, subplots, emotion. Dark elements, no shallowing around.

I'm also a great fan of the author writing style in itself. The main character is HILARIOUS and I found myself laughing out loud like a madwoman. The book ends in a satisfying way, and by that I mean, nothing is left unresolved. This is some perfect romance writing, and I'm so pleased I read this book. 

This is one hell of a brilliant book. Made me want to scream out in frustration, cry in sorrow, run into the streets to tell the people that this is it; that's the world we live in. One of lies, of manipulation, of racism even (although for once, it's not about skin colour, it is still the very same discrimination that is showed through this book). Don't you see it? The parallels between our world and that of this fictional, or maybe not, book? I'm not talking only of the main core subject. I'm also talking about capitalism, which is the origin of the issue. Greed, egoism, power-hungry inhumans. Name it how you want, once again, this book proved that there's not much Humanity still lying around. Read between the fucking lines, people. Wake the fuck up.

Still, didn't earn the full five points because I felt the ending was a bit rushed. There's a change of pace I found abrupt towards the end, what with that infamous conversation that goes on, or just the way things went on. 

However, once again, incredible book and story. Surprisingly, for a book that spends a long time talking about kids, this is no read for the youngsters, and it does not feel child-like at all. The author really wrote a masterpiece, that should be read by all (of age people, of course). 

Also, the main character is the one who gave me the most frustration... Which is, once again, genius. She's a regular, ordinary person. The author perfectly managed to convey everyone's general lack of deep thought about the world we live in. Brilliant, brilliant. That's all I can say, that's how moved I am. I find words lacking to express what I'm feeling.
