This is the third McQuiston romance I read, and it's my least favourite. I *loved* One Last Stop and liked Red, White and Royal Blue fine, but didn't think it was exceptionally good. This one was also a perfectly good Romance novel, but contained some tropes I enjoy less (miscommunication is such a frustrating reading experience to me) and ended up a bit too saccharine for my liking. Still a fun reading experience, probably an excellent summer-read and if you like McQuiston's other work, worth giving a try!

If I could give this 6 stars, I would. Everyone who sings this book's praise is absolutely right. It's riveting and beautifully written.

The theme of memory and writing history that is interwoven  throughout is so well done.

Great
The narrator gets a bit repetitive though, I think it's intentional but it really started to bug me by the end

I loved it as much as the first one! I did roll my eyes a bit when
Luke turned out to be a secret with finder
(major spoiler) and wasn't taken with that arc, but it tied into the ending really well. The book wraps up quite nicely, but like the previous one ends on a Big Cliffhanger...

DID NOT FINISH: 11%

Wasn't capturing my interest and didn't like the writing style
slow-paced
Plot or Character Driven: Character
Strong character development: Yes
Diverse cast of characters: No

This was fine. Very predictable, a bit trite. The ending was lovely, but it is too long and bloated with stuff that doesn't matter.
