I'm not usually one to binge-listen to an audiobook, but Reign of Cinders and Glass had me from the very first chapter. I loved the way the author intertwined the classic story of Cinderella with a supernatural, vampiric realm.
I felt quite mixed when it came to the narrators, though. I loved the female narrator, I felt that she captured Ella's character and emotions beautifully, expressing her perfectly. However, Cassius' narrator was quite disappointing. I felt he had a very monotonous and uninterested tone throughout the whole audiobook, like he was simply reading off a script, offering no real way to feel connected to Cassius. Though I loved understanding things from Cassius' point of view, getting through the chapters with the narrator felt like a drag.
I also adored how Ella wasn't written as some sort of damsel in distress, as most FMC's usually are nowadays. It was a nice refreshment following the story of a valiant, headstrong character who wasn't afraid to speak her mind.
The ending was extremely well resolved and I couldn't be happier to have had the chance to listen to this book, so thank you to the author and Dreamscape Media for giving me the chance to listen to Reign of Cinders and Glass, I'm looking forward to any new and upcoming books by Lindsey Hall.

Oh. My. God. I absolutely loved this audiobook. I hadn’t originally realised this was a spin-off to another series, however i got the gist of what was happening pretty quickly.
The chemistry between Madinia and Calysian was extremely well written, and I loved how strong Madinia’s character was.
Another amazing thing about This Vicious Dream is the very unexpected plot twists. When I tell you my jaw DROPPED at a certain point…
Thank you to Netgalley and Dreamscape Media for this ARC, all opinions are my own. I can’t wait for book 2.
What an amazing read! I hadn’t originally realised this was part of an interconnected series, but it’s just fine as a standalone.
The story dives straight in with some action, creating a great way to introduce the characters and their powers. I loved Heathcliffs personality and how well written be (and all the other characters) was.
The writing style itself was really good, and i just couldn’t put the book down. I don’t usually go for this style of book, but i’m extremely happy i did for this.

This was a nice and cozy light hearted read, and definitely a good break from all the heavy stuff that most books have nowadays.
The roommate experiment had me from the very beginning, the characters were really well written, and the slow burn was just right.
I felt at some points that all the Olivia problems were a bit dragged out.
This isn’t the usual sort of book i’d go for, but i’m happy i left my comfort zone for this one.
As always, thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for allowing me the chance to read this book, all opinions are my own.

I’m quite 50/50 about this book. On one hand, the world building was amazing, but on the other hand, I really couldn’t connect with the characters, and it led me to consider DNFing several times.
The world building was exceptionally written and described everything so well, while still leaving certain details to the imagination, which is a mix I find is hard to balance, but it was executed perfectly in this book.
However, I quite disliked the characters. I found the characters quite annoying and the chemistry between them felt quite forced, Morganas insistence that nothing can happen between her and Finn was extremely repetitive, and I felt like I was reading the same sentence every few chapters. I also felt that the characters were quite shallow. Though they had solid backgrounds, they weren’t too deeply described for me to be abl to fully connect and understand them.
Overall, this was a good read, and I feel it would be amazing, I just wasn’t the right person for it.

I had mixed feelings about this book. One one hand, I loved it, the plot was strong and well thought out, however not the other hand, I feel I couldn’t fully connect with the characters and it really put me off while reading.
It was especially hard to connect with the main character, Poppy. Personally, she just didn’t feel relatable at all and there were times where I really couldn’t stand her.
One thing i loved about this book, though, was the world building. I’ve found that many authors struggle with this as they focus more on introducing the plot of their book, however To Bargain with Mortals had a beautifully developed world and a unique magic system.

A fast paced, adventurous story following a nameless assassin who discovers she has magic after being sent on a mission to kill the Prince of Ithaka.
This book had me since the very start, i loved how i was immediately thrown into a piece of action, and how it all unfolded as the FMC learnt things about herself she would never have dreamed of knowing.
I feel like the book generally lacked quite a bit in the world building department, and it didn’t have as much of the passion there usually is in the writing, though it was definitely great as a debut novel, and amazing overall.
I also loved the depth to the FMC’s background and the flawless chemistry between her and the MMC.
Overall, this book was quite amazing, i’ll definitely be sticking around to read book 2
