i cannot fucking BELIEVE it took me this long to read this wonderful incredible magnificent adorable book

this started out sooo good and then just kind of plateaued into a very mid miscommunication trope and then dive bombed into a very maddening ending. also i wasn’t completely sold on Finn. he kept saying you won’t open up to me, you won’t trust me, etc. etc. but literally the one singular thing i know about him is that his dad died. that’s literally it. he does not open up either, he very deftly avoids any conversation that turns serious unless he initiates it. and he says she’s the one with control issues lolllll

now im coming back bc i just remembered something and got angry again. YOU NEVER FIND OUT WHAT THE FUCK WAS GOING ON WITH SYBIL. NOT EVEN A HINT. THE ONLY THING THAT DROVE THE PLOT OF THIS BOOK IS NEVER REVEALED. I DO NOT CARE THAT ITS SETTING UP THE ASSUMED SECOND BOOK IN THE SERIES, THATS NOT COOL!!!!!! might drop this down to 1 star i haven’t decided yet

okay i am still not sold on prem like im not convinced he truly fundamentally changed his outlook on love BUT this was so goddamn entertaining that i couldn’t give it anything less than 4 stars. also im genuinely in love with bunty and im foaming at the mouth for my hold on tastes like shakkar to be ready on libby

A Good Happy Girl

Marissa Higgins

DID NOT FINISH

might come back to this eventually but this book is incredibly disgusting and i’m not in the mood for grotesque shock value kink rn

i wish people didn’t say this was britney and justin bc cal was def not justin. justin was ryan’s slimey ass

i finished this forever ago and idk why i never updated it on GR

i cannot give this book enough stars. there are few books that i’ve been chasing the high of ever since i read them. beach read, every summer after, and happy place are among them. if you like any of those books even a little, you will absolutely love this. this satisfied that need, but now i’m afraid i’ll be chasing this high for just as long.

fuck you, annabel monaghan!!!!!!!!! but also thank you so very much and i love you and i wouldn’t be the same person without this book.

annabel monaghan just gets me like she really really does. she took a classic romance trope and turned it into something entirely unique. this is a masterpiece fr. i usually don’t like children characters in books, but arthur and bernadette really stole my heart.
