OH MY GOOOOODDDDDDD this book made me ACHE. i felt it. it was so real the whole time. i miss high school relationships. but i’m literally rowan like the author wrote her about me i’m sure of it.
i was soooo excited for this and wanted to love it so badly but it was just very… weird. i think it’s such a stark difference in tone and substance from the first book that it caught me off guard. yes yes i realize that they’re no kids anymore and the glow of rushed childhood love wearing off is like The Whole Point. but i think what made me love these two characters in the first place was that glow (i know that’s mean) and without it they’re just……people. again, The Point, i know. if it wasn’t a sequel and these were just two new characters i’d probably really like this. but this didn’t feel like the rowan and neil i fell in love with.
overall just a bit disappointing and wholly unnecessary.

the only thing this 400 page cliche was missing was his voice miraculously healing in time for him to say i do at the alter
ugh i love when a book lives up to the feelings i had the first time around. falling in love with characters AGAIN is one of life’s simplest joys.

THIIIIISSSSSS BOOOOOKKKKKKK omg why am i literally noelle??? i love a good dual pov but if the single pov is done right (like this, like emily henry, like carley fortune) it just hits different. the idea was genius, the execution was flawless, the feelings were THERE.
