We are very pleased with this book. Honestly, the description sounded intriguing but I wasn't too sure if I was going to like it. Now it is one of my favourite fantasy books of all time. The court intrigue and politics are phenomenal, the world is incredibly real and detailed. Maia is the perfect MC and I loved discovering how the court worked with him.

The best of her books, in my opinion. As someone who wrote fanfiction in college I loved this book. It was incredibly relatable and the story itself was amazing.

Exactly as advertised. You must remember, it's all a game. I read this only at night, and I highly recommend it. It adds to the wonder and mystery quite well. Intriguing and beguiling.

I was very happy to find that this book was waay better than the first one. Very intriguing and well written with some lovely twists and turns. I can’t wait to read the next one!
