I was really surprised by this book! I was expecting a normal paranormal romance, but it had many other things about it that I loved.
The first was that there was humor. I was NOT expecting there to be humor! It lightened up the story and made it unique.
The second was the characters. There were a bunch of characters, but each has a different backstory.
Finally, there was a love triangle, but it wasn't one that I hated. I liked both of the boys for different reasons. I found it difficult to make a choice myself!
Overall, I really really really loved this book and I can't wait for the next book in the series.
(Sorry for the really short review but I'm getting behind!)

Carnival of Souls was a great teen fantasy! As I was reading the book felt a little more adult than most YA fantasy books. I really liked how there were multiple perspectives. This is something that I haven't seen much in books of this genre, but I felt that it really helped the reader understand the world and the story better. My favorite part of the book would have to be the characters. There are very BA female characters which is something I always love reading about!
Overall, I really liked this book, and all of the detail and depth to the story!

Let me just start out by saying that Torn was amazing! It may have even been better than Switched!!!
There were a bunch of reasons why I liked this book. I'll start off by saying that this book had a lot more action and twists in than the first. I liked Wendy a little more in this book, too. The story began to get deeper and a lot more intense.
Another reason why I loved it was because there were new characters!!! I won't name them because of spoilers, but all I can say is I started squealing when one of the new characters appeared. There are a bunch of new members, and you learn a lot more about the Vittra!
Finally, the characters that were there in the first book had some larger parts. Tove, Matt, and Willa really grew on me in this one.
Overall, Torn was a fantastic sequal. I cannot wait to read Ascend! Looking forward to the intense final book. I would rate it higher than 5 stars if I could!

Beautiful Darkness was a book that I was really looking forward to but I felt a bit let down.
One thing that I really liked was the interesting story line of the second book in this series. It was interesting to discover secrets right along with Ethan. I didn't really like the addition of the new characters very much. John Breed seemed like a bad addition, there to create a love triangle that I'm pretty sure everyone would be against considering the book is written from Ethan's POV. I liked Liv in the beginning, but towards the end I felt like she was just meddling into a situation where she was unneeded. Also, considering that this series focused loosely on the Caster world, but more on Lena's life as a Caster, I felt like there could have been more scenes including her.
My favorite character would have to have been Ridley. I didn't like her at ALL in the first book. But I really liked her character in this one because you get to see the more pre-claiming side of her. Especially towards the end you see a certain vulnerability about her that really makes you like her much more.
Overall, I enjoyed reading this one. The plot was the best part about the book, and the imagery once again was fantastic!

I went into Deadly Little Secret expecting a book that would be a quick, cute paranormal book. I was right about the quick, but wrong about everything else!
This book was creepy! I really liked how there were different POV's, with one being a mystery as to who the person is. The story was very well written, and I really liked the main character, Camelia and her friends. At first I was weirded out by Ben, but I ended up loving his character. A lot.
The story had an ending that I never would have guessed, ever. It became really intense towards the end, but I really liked how it turned out.
Overall, it gave me the shivers and kept me guessing! It was a great, creepy, suspenseful read. I can't wait to read the next book in the series, and I'm looking forward to seeing how they will be connected to each other as this one had a bit of a closed ending.

I absolutely LOVED Incarnate! From the beginning I found myself loving the main character, Ana. I loved her personality. From the moment that she meets Sam I loved her even more because she showed her stubborn side. Ana went through a TON in Incarnate and she really is a fighter. I also really liked Sam, of course. But who wouldn't? He's funny, smart, adorable, etc.
Along with all of the amazing characters, the story was so unique and so many different aspects that I loved, too. First there were sylphs - dark shadow things that can kill you with their burns. (For some reason I just kept picturing the dementors from Harry Potter...). Then there were DRAGONS! I loved how they were introduced into the story, and they added the danger aspect along with the sylphs! And of course there are the souls, who are really the main characters. I really liked how they were reincarnated into different bodies in different lives each time. It made it interesting when you learn about the different romances and relationships between the characters due to different physical appearances not going along with their real ages.
Overall, Incarnate was amazing and I couldn't put it down! I loved every bit of it, and can't wait to read Asunder!!
+ The cover is spectacular!

It's already been almost a full day since I've read this and I can't even think about this without tears forming in my eyes. Also please keep in mind that my thoughts can't be organized normally about this book this early on in the process of being sad after reading.
I decided to read The Fault in Our Stars because basically all of the reviews from EVERYONE have been fantastic. They were not wrong. I loved both Hazel and Augustus so so much. Also, I can't forget Isaac! The three of them made me smile, laugh, cry... basically feel all the emotions.
The story tugged at my heartstrings and it taught me what people who have such awful diseases like cancer go through. Reading this book made me think. A lot. It made me realize just how lucky I am. Hazel, Augustus and Isaac were true fighters. They were so intelligent, and incredible people.
Hazel and Augustus were an adorable couple. The way that they let themselves fall in love with each other even though there was a constant fear of hurting the other was beautiful. They were people that were making the best out of the lives that they had.
I made it 3/4 of the way through the book without shedding a tear. Then I reached a point where all of the things from the previous pages just built up and I burst. After the tears started to fall I couldn't stop reading. Finally, after about a chapter I dried up a bit, but my eyes were wet for the rest of the book.
Reading this made me realize many things:
1.) I'm very lucky.
2.) Life isn't fair.
3.) All the best people have the hardest lives.
4.) Love is forever.
5.) It's a metaphor.
Everyone must read this book sometime in their life. I hate sad books, but I fell in love with this story. I know this will be one of those books that I'll open up to a random page and start reading from wherever it opens to. I'll read this again, and I'm sure I'll never get through it with a dry face.

This was a book that I am so happy I've read. I'm glad that I decided to read this because it was such an amazing, emotional book that I couldn't help but love. I really felt for all of the characters and the concept was so interesting. I couldn't stop reading this book!
There was a perfect mix of science fiction, dystopian and romance. I didn't feel like any of it was too overpowering. I breezed through all 606 pages of this book and was never bored. So much was going on inside of Melanie's body. I loved how this was written from Wanda's perspective. Being able to hear the internal conversations made this unique from other sci-fi and dystopian books that I've read.
The characters were the main focus. I was great to see the relationships formed between Wanda and everyone else, as well as Melanie and everyone else. I also enjoyed reading about the flashbacks or memories that Wanda sees from before she became a part of her. I also really liked how Wanda felt the emotions that Melanie experienced. It made the reader unsure about how to feel, in a good way!
Overall, I loved this book! It was a pleasant surprise. I know that there are rumors of more books in the series, but personally, I don't want there to be another. I liked how this was left a little open-ended. If she does end up writing a sequel, I'd love to have it be written from alternating perspectives of Wanda and Melanie. I would want to see how they express emotion without the influence of the other.

I hated how this story began and ended. There was very little which was romantic about it, I found the characters to be shallow. Towards the end of the story Romeo and Juliet where just whining the whole time about not being able to live without the other. Very predictable ending and I didn't really enjoy it at all.
