Whoa. 4.5 stars.

In a dark mix of Gossip Girl meets Dear White People (and I've heard Get Out, but haven't seen that movie), Faridah Àbíké-Íyímídé brings us a twisty thriller full of secrets, betrayal, and suspense.

At Niveus Private Academy, Chiamaka and Devon are the only two black students. They're also the only two targets of anonymous, life-ruining texts being sent to the student body. Unsure of how far the texts will go and what secrets will be uncovered, Chiamaka and Devon try to uncover who is behind Aces and who they can trust so that their futures aren't destroyed.

This book was intense! Holy smokes. I didn't expect such dark themes in a YA book, but if we're honest about it, racism is always dark. If you like thrillers, this is a must-read. Loved all of the unexpected twists!

Thanks to Macmillan Children's Publishing Group, Feiwel & Friends, and Netgalley for the ARC!

"Holy s***. I am the plausible victim of a Bergman meddling."

GOSH these Bergman Brothers. They. Are. The. Best. In other words, Chloe Liese has done it again, writing an incredible slow BURN (and I do mean burn

Have you ever watched Seven Brides for Seven Brothers? I watched it all the time growing up, so I knew that I had to pick up this modern retelling set in Cherish, Montana.

Aiden Peterson is the eldest of… you guessed it… seven brothers. After their parents pass away in a car accident, he’s left in charge, meaning he never has time for himself. How can he get his brothers married off and out of the house, and start living his own life? Maybe he can lead by example…

Enter Camille. It’s insta-love and she & Aiden are in it for the long haul after two weeks. What she doesn’t realize is that instead of having a huge home all to herself with Aiden, the house comes with six adult man-children. Camille is not here for it, and decides the solution to her problem could be marrying the brothers off to her best friends.

Yes, the premise is as ridiculous and lovely as Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, and yes, I want to see this as a movie on the Hallmark channel. A quick and light read, this Christian romance was a fun take on Seven Brides for Seven Brothers.
