GeneticAlly is a new DNA-based matchmaking company that is set to be a new app to change dating forever. Jess, a statistician and single mom, is skeptical of the company when her BFF Fizzy suggests that they give it a try... but she ends up sending in a sample anyway. Jess is called into the GeneticAlly office to find that she matched with someone at the highest level they've ever seen - 98%. Who is the match? GeneticAlly founder River Pena. Ironically - she's interacted with River a few times and knows him to be arrogant and rude. Jess is even more skeptical now. There is NO way she and River could be such a high match... right?
The Soulmate Equation was cute - River and Jess have good chemistry, although I do wish there was a little more banter (key in an enemies-to-lovers trope) and relationship development. I love Jess's family dynamics. Her mom is horrible, but her grandparents raised her and are also helping her raise her 7-year-old, Juno. Fizzy, her BFF, is the best wing woman and such a fun character. I also really enjoyed that this book had science vibes in with this low-steam romance.
