Good ending to a fast-paced duology! Everything wrapped up nicely.
It was entertaining, however, nothing really surprised me like I want a book to do.

Meh. More thoughts soon.
*edit* so I didn't "more thoughts soon" but I'm putting my rating down to a 2... partially because I remember not liking it, but also because I remember absolutely nothing about the actuall book

I read this back in grade 10, and never got around to finishing the series. So I picked it back up now that I own the second and I can't wait to get onto the next (cause cliffhanger!).
Tempest is about a time-traveling nineteen year-old named Jackson Meyer. This novel is really about the saying "it's all fun and games until someone get hurt" because that's exactly what happens. At first, Jackson's ability to time travel is just something he wants to learn more about, and with the help of his friend, Adam, he keeps track of what happens when he "jumps", etc. to learn more. (BTW throw out everything you know about time-traveling cause this is WAY different.) But by the end of the novel, he knows way more about his abilities then he wants to know. It's in the first hundred pages that we dive into the plot. Jackson is in his girlfriend, Holly's dorm room when a couple men he's never seen before come barging in (Holly has no knowledge of Jackson's ability). And when things get heated Holly is shot and Jackson does a time jump unlike any he's done before and get's stuck in 2007.
Then shit gets real.
I really loved this novel. It was faced paced, but things weren't dumped on me too quickly. I loved being n Jackson's mind because if he was confused, he'd ask questions that helped the reader become less confused as well. I also loved reading his journal entries because it became even easier to know Jackson's motives. Another helpful took was the date and time at the beginning of each chapter to know WHEN you were.
I can't wait to pick of the next! 4 stars!
