Yup. 3.5... maybe?
I loved my characters but honestly this book felt useless, easy, and too quick. I wish there would've been 2 more instead of 1.

As a mostly young adult reader, I found this story pretty interesting. Frankenstein is classic Gothic literature, that of which we see today in Twilight or The Vampire Diaries. I found it interesting that both Edward Cullen and Victor Frankenstein have a lot in common. Particularly in Breaking Dawn, when Edward discover he's created a "monster" in Bella and will do anything to protect her from it. With Victor Frankenstein, he's also defied nature in creating life that is not supposed to be possible and wishing to rid it from the world from fear of it destroying the people he loves.
I love reading one of the more popular works of Gothic literature, and since I read it for class, I liked being able to discuss the history of the piece and understand it's background.
Overall, I think Mary Shelly was really getting at something here. And I love the way the story was told through the perspective of 4 different people, who appear to have no relation to each other at first.
However, as someone who hates science, I didn't enjoy the language used and felt it was too scientific for my taste. I also found myself really bored, sometimes Victor Frankenstein would go on about things that had nothing to do with the plot at all. 3/5 stars.

I loved everything about this book except for a few little things.
- it was horrible slow at times
- there wasn't too much detail but I did find myself skimming over descriptions a couple of times
but I did love
- CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT
-COOL POINT OF VIEW
- SERIOUS ISSUES ADDRESSED
- NATIVE MAIN CHARACTER
-OTHER THINGS I CAN'T THINK OF RN

The Rush series really is one of my new favourites. I picked up the first book on a whim after hearing a breif synopsis and haven't stopped since.
5/5 stars goes to CRASH. Even though there were a couple of points where the plot kinda stopped a little, I don't think any ending to a series can be perfect - so I loved this one despite its flaws.
Props to Eve Silver to writing a series with a huge set of diverse characters; including a main character who isn't Caucasian. And of course, bringing in a LGBTQ+ couple. It's the kind of stuff that shouldn't be surprising to find in a YA series.
If you're looking for something similar to JL Armentrout's LUX series... this one is better. It's also cool if you're into gaming at all!

I'm really shocked I enjoyed this book so much. Excited to get the other books but not sure if I'll do it right away. The biggest thing that turned it into a 4/5 was the predictability. In the end, you don't really need my review since there's so many others.
