Not sure how I feel about this.
It was good but sad and boring at the same time.
Required reading is awful.

I was going to rate this book 4 stars, but getting that last star all depended on the writing, character development, and relationships. Laurel reminds me of what we were all like in High School, naive and vulnerable. While I was reading some reviews on this, someone compared her to Bella Swan. Now I can't really let go of that; except there is one major difference: Laurel is lost and now she's just trying to find her way back all while adjusting to high school.
That fifth star also has to do with the perfection that Ms. Dallaira did in capturing how a little sister feels about her older sister.
I'll be recommending this book, but I haven't decided if it's one of my favourites yet.
EDIT: It's been a while since I read this and all in all I feel like I didn't enjoy it quite enough for it to get 5 stars, so I bumped it down to 4.

Final thoughts:
1. I'm not worried
2. Everyone in these books are messed up but it's great

Video review coming very soon; I need to discuss!!
