Noooooooon cette fin !!!!!!! Je ne sais pas quand j'aurai le temps de commencer le tome 3 mais pour le moment c'est tout ce qui tourne en rond dans ma tête.
Je ne sais pas si je devrais tenir à ces personnages autant que j'y tiens ... On pourrait rapprocher leur relation à celle de Merlin et Arthur (dans la série BBC Merlin) mais dans un univers qui ressemble plus à Game of Thrones ... Voilà. Je suis toujours aussi captivée. CAPTIVÉE.
Mais je sais que je vais souffrir en lisant la suite, et je ne suis pas prête.

EN : My mechanical heart has been hugged and played with and I loved it.
Fanfics, conventions, fangirls(&boys), shipping fictional characters but also real people, and everything that follows ... That is basically what this story is about. And it's really good.
I liked seeing a more religious approach to how sexuality is felt, which I don't often read. The character's struggle, wanting to break free from what he has been told but still struggling himself with it. I also liked that asexuality was mentioned more than once, even if it was done quickly.
Although I would have loved to know more about other characters like Bec, I really enjoyed this book. It's a nice, fun, sweet and relatable.

Les fanfics et les fangirls sur Internet qui 'ship' des personnages fictifs mais aussi de véritables êtres humains, et tout ce qui en découle ... Voilà la base de l'histoire. Et c'était vraiment sympa.
J'ai beaucoup apprécié le fait d'avoir abordé un point de vue plus religieux que je n'ai l'habitude de lire, la lutte du personnage principal qui ne veut plus croire en certains aspects religieux tout en sachant que son cœur ne s'en est pas totalement détaché.
J'ai également beaucoup apprécié voir le sujet de l'asexualité qui a été rapidement abordé par plusieurs personnages - parce que oui, pas tout le monde ne veut que du sexe à longueur de journée !
Bien que j'aurai aimé lire plus de détails sur d'autres personnages comme Bec, c'est une petite lecture sympa, drôle mais aussi remplie d'émotions, est très "relatable".

This was probably the book I struggled through the most, for two main reasons :
- It is a HUUUGE book ! My edition has 985 pages and it just felt unnecessarily long, some bits could easily have been skipped to make it less messy and to get to the point a little quicker.
- The two new-ish characters, I didn't actually like that much. And we see A LOT of Winter and Jacin in this book !
~ Also, so many comments about physical beauty that were meant to be inspiring, but I just found exasperating.
~ I must say, Scarlet (and Wolf) just seem to have been put aside once the second book was done, they could almost have been left out completely it would not have changed much, which is a shame as I liked Scarlet ... It just seemed like the author didn't know what to do with them after their main story in book 2.
+ Talking about liking characters, Kai is great ! LOVE him. I also think Cinder, Iko, Cress and Thorne are really good. Thumbs up for them.
However I still believe the Lunar Chronicles are fun books that I'm happy to have read. I love the idea of these books, I'm a sucker for loads of fairytales colliding into one world.

3.5 - 4/ 5 - My feelings towards this book kept changing when reading it. I went from being angry at the characters, to loving them and the plot twists.
The story was pretty interesting, and action-packed although at times it felt very chopped (which is kinda normal since this is a director's cut).
I especially loved when they were in Mexico pretending to be 'normal people'. The whole discussions around struggling to function normally in our society really got to me. It's a little weird having so many 'relatable' aspects to characters who are essentially trained-lunatic-assassin and a suicidal new agent, but I do ...
I found myself being sucked into the story and I want to continue with the series but with a 1000 pages second book, I don't know whether I'll ever get through it completely ...
