Everything about this story was really enjoyable. The main characters and background characters were wonderful especially the children. I did want a little more exploration of the MMCs backstory, but that didn't take away my enjoyment. Also the narrator did a wonderful job.

There were moments I got highly frustrated with Christy especially with her thoughts about Bridget and the people of Primrose Creek, but as the story went along that changed as she grew. Otherwise I really liked all the characters especially Zachary. And the narration was wonderful.

While the story got repetitive at some points, it was still a really enjoyable read. The summer of Viva was filled with an entertaining tale that also really showcased New Orleans. The mystery became even more fascinating with the historical and musical elements, and the reveal at the end was a delight. And the narration? Amazing! I was really impressed.
