Definitely action packed and took some unexpected turns. Needed some more Murphy but that's just cause I love her. This book did hit me hard in the feels though. Better review coming soon.
Whoa, talk about some major whammies. Just hitting me out of left field with all the things; some answered questions had since early books and others revealed things I never expected. And so many feels regarding one of my favorite characters. Eager to start the next one but need to digest.
Just when you think Dresden can't get more awesome? You're proven wrong. And in the process you're shown again how inexperienced he is compared to others in the Wizard community. This look at the Wardens was intense, and though I still don't like Morgan I do feel as if I understand him a little more. There wasn't enough Murphy in this for me, and I totally called the one thing which made me proud, but there was a lot of Thomas, Mouse, and Butters with appearances by others I love too. Plus LotR, Jurassic Park, Aladdin, and other references!
Holy... well, heck. A lot of things have connected and I'm here with my mind all racing with a bunch of things. so far my favorite I think. More to come.
This will not be the greatest review, and at a later time I may return to write a better one, but for now I just want to say that this book is worth picking up. The writing style is simple yet elegant, the characters are deep and relateable, and the plot itself is fascinating. It kept me intensely reading especially as it drew closer to the end. Now, I've eagerly started book two and can't wait to see how this story further develops.
