I feel like every queer person should read this book!

I really enjoyed this poetry collection. So many of the poems really pack a punch, but it's somehow soft. It still hurts though.

Chen Chen's poetry is some of my favorite that I've read this year. I'm so excited to read more of his work.

This book has so far been amazing. I love the writing and the setting is eerie.

But, I'm not in the headspace I need to be in order to safely enjoy this book.

I want to revisit it when I'm feeling mentally better.

I want to revisit this book when I'm in a better headspace and there isn't a massive wave of hate for the trans community. The story's premise is so interesting.

I just can't handle the main character's unsupported family right now. I'm not sure I like the trope of transgender person having to prove themselves to shitty people.

This book is beautiful, somber, joyful, and powerful. I love every single poem. Crystal Wilkinson really knows how to write in a way that pulls you in and makes you feel at home among her memories.

This book is a collection of funny comics about being transgender. I absolutely share the author's sense of humor. I really needed that laugh. I love the sarcasm and jokes, as well as the genuine advice and affirmations.

It you're trans definitely pick up this silly little book for a much needed laugh and some solidarity.

I enjoyed this small rare find. I found it on the "free books" shelf of my local library. I'm glad I found it. This book of poetry feels like a love letter to LGBT people from across history. It feels like both a heart break and a homecoming. There were so many names I had never come across in my personal queer studies. I loved the opportunity, this 28 page chapbook, to learn even more names I should commit to memory. It's given me hope and reminded me of the queer community's resilience.

I hope if you ever get the chance to read it that you take it. It's a good but rare book. My favorite poem was "Ishmael's Afterthoughts" on page 14-16.
