This book might have broken me.

I don't remember any book that made me ugly cry as much as this one did. Is it a perfect book? No. But this series pulled such a visceral emotional reaction from me, unlike anything I've ever read. I was so scared of what these characters might experience that I kept putting this book down so I don't have to experience their pain. It took me almost 2 months to finish, and it was all worth it.

The clan is our blood, and the Pillar is its master!

I can definitely see myself liking this book at another time when I'm in a certain mood for this kind of story. While I never read Daisy Jones & The Six, I watched the TV series, and I see why people compared the two. I just wish I had watched more reviews before picking it up so I'd have been more prepared and adjusted my expectations. 
This was far from the epic love story I expected, and I could not get past it. I'll try again in the future.

This is the third romance book I'm DNFing this month, I don't know what is wrong with me tbh. Might try again at another time.
