3.5 stars. Not a bad read. A good story and good characters, but nothing that really caught my attention beyond the ordinary.

3 1/2 stars. Review to come.

Read for British Literature course. This was one of those books that I said I would NEVER read. Turns out...I didn't mind it so much.

Beautiful writing. Sara Taylor definitely has talent. This reads more like a loosely woven collection of short stories than a novel. The chapters connect through a basic narrative, but there is a lack of cohesion that takes away from the overall power of the book. A very odd mix of genres develops in the final 1/3. To be honest, I'm somewhat confused about what I just read. (Full review to come.)

Still inspiring and funny. She doesn't disappoint. Thank you for another good read Jenny.

Great story that reminded me of pieces of several other very good books that I've read along the way, but still manages to hold its own. A few small issues in the plot (one seemingly unnecessary plot piece and one that was handled a bit awkwardly) that kept me from giving it a full five stars, but still a very good read. This one kept me up until 2am just so I could finish it. Cover to cover in one sitting. Obviously it did quite well at holding my attention. I look forward to reading his future works.

I read this one with my 5 year old niece. She seemed to really enjoy it. Some of the language was a bit beyond her comprehension level, but the premise of the story was good and entertaining for her.
