I've loved Tyler's take on life for a long time as a fan of his YouTube channel and this book is nothing but true to form for him. He is bold and unabashed in his writing and always, always true to himself. I highly respect that. He is incredibly smart about the realism of life and his advice applies to all, regardless of age, gender, or sexual orientation. In addition to all hat greatness, he is also hysterically funny. There were several instances of out loud laughter as I made my way through this book. Well done yet again, sir. Well done.
Not a bad collection of literature and some good examples of literary criticism and essay work. The only complaint I have is from a student point of view. There are several bolded vocabulary words that do not exist within the glossary. It would be helpful if vocabulary was listed at the end of each chapter and if the glossary was more comprehensive.
I'm not typically a large fan of plays, but this is written quite excellently. It reads as easily as a novel and had my attention. There are many smart references to literature, history, and the arts. This will easily be one I read again...definitely a novelty for me when it comes to plays.
Technically, I'll give this one 3.5. However, I will say that it is masterfully written and I am likely to enjoy it increasingly with rereads. There is a lot of subtlety in this text. No doubt, the more I catch, the higher I will rate it.
Overall a good business novel, but the ending fell a bit flat.
