The book is basically about an autistic woman working in a convenience store and her takes on the world for the first half, up until when she meets an incel guy and a couple of things set on movement. The contrast and similitudes between their ideas on how the world works made me laugh but ultimately it seemed more of a caricature.
I liked the ending but honestly after the ordeal the main character has to endure, it was bittersweet.
There's a couple repetitive and/or contradictory things here and there that could've been fixed in edition but nothing too obvious.

Fun, quick read. I would mainly recommend it to people looking for shocking facts to throw in a party, but for a more reflective take on death (with the same humor) I still prefer Smoke gets in your eyes.
Not sure all of the topics are things a kid can understand on his/her own so a grownup's supervision might be desirable.

This was such a good book! Couldn't put it down after I started reading so I would highly recommend.
Docking a star because personally I thought the similes of the main characters vs other characters were a bit too out there and while I'm glad Maite had a "happy" ending the epilogue felt like it was from a different book imo

Kiki's adventures where so fun to read! This one doesn't cover the whole movie events but it's still a lovely (witchy) coming of age story.

This is definitely not for me, and also such a harmful message. If you're a teacher handing this out for teenagers to read please change your ways or I'll come to your house and shred your shoes.

It was an interesting prompt but it might've been better as a movie in my opinion. Also, what is with that ending? I felt like it came out of nowhere.

What I gather from this is that camp as a counterculture to elitism in the arts is an interesting concept, but I disagree with the means? It sounds so patronizing towards artists that produce "camp" and the theme I'm getting here is that it's usually art produced by people outside of the US which is offensive at the least and deeply conservative at most. Orientalism on steroids, but good for Harry Styles I guess...?

It feels a bit incomplete, compared to the first one and it draws (poorly imo) on the first book's theme. The world it creates is different from other sci-fi I've read so it's fun to daydream about space and other forms of life, I especially liked the concept of harmonizers.
