Giddy up sugar, you’re in for a treat! Done and Dusted by Lyla Sage is the swoony, spicy, small town, brother’s best friend, cowboy romance we all need in our lives!
Emmy returns home to Wyoming unexpectedly. Her best friend Teddy welcomes her home with open arms but Emmy isn’t sharing the real reason she’s back. Now back at her family’s ranch, Emmy ends up forming an unforeseen friendship with Luke Brooks after confiding in him about why she’s home. Luke is her older brother’s best friend and someone she’s always loathed. He’s definitely not someone she’s interested in dating, right? Luke can’t believe the thoughts and feelings he’s having for Emmy. He can’t make a move, Gus would kill him, right?
I devoured this, read it in one sitting! It was so good! We get so many good swoony moments, I was giggling out loud y’all. I’m serious. I read this on kindleunlimited and just ordered a paperback copy! Read this if you like:

How do they keep getting better and better?!?!
Reckless is the fourth book in the Chestnut Springs series by Elsie Silver. I’m telling you, it’s SO GOOD. This one is hard to review because I don’t want to give anything away. So bear with me.
Winter is going through some big life changes when she meets hot and rowdy Theo Silva. Theo is Rhett’s protege and a notorious ladies man but he’s trying to focus more on his career and less on women. Winter and Theo immediately have electric chemistry and Winter finds herself confessing her deepest secrets to Theo and he likes it. He really likes it and he really likes her. They share one night together but things get complicated when Winter takes a pregnancy test 4 weeks later.
I was not looking forward to Winter and Theo’s story, she wasn’t my favorite character and I’m not a big fan of surprise pregnancy but YALL, this might be my favorite in the series. From the start Theo treats Winter with respect and tenderness, I melted. Then we have the surprise and the *conflict* (don’t want to give anything away) and I was sobbing. Silver really pulls on our heartstrings with this one. But then the resolution, ahhhhhhh! It’s so sweet and so powerful, the way Theo sees Winter, shows up for her, and defends her. It’s just so well done. I listened to the audiobook and loved Joe Arden and Savannah Peachwood’s performances. 5/5 would recommend!!

Just Friends by Madison Wright is the third book in the Just Us series but could be read as a stand alone. Hazel Lane and Alex Bates are best friends. Hazel has her heart broken and has sworn off men for the last year, except Alex of course, they spend almost all their free time together. Hazel decides it’s time to put herself back in the dating world but she’s scared she’ll pick the wrong guy again. She asks Alex to set her up with blind dates and in return she’ll do the same for him. They can even go on these blind dates together and then get ice cream after to discuss their potential new partners! Only problem, Alex doesn’t want to date anyone but Hazel.
This was such a fun and swoony friends to lovers romance! Once I started reading, I couldn’t it put it down, this is fast paced and joyful! Hazel and Alex’s friendship is the type everyone dreams about. I really enjoyed this book and look forward to going back and reading the others in this series. Just Friends is a closed door romance but still has plenty of chemistry and heat! I only wish we got more chapters of Hazel and Alex together as a couple however, the epilogue was perfect!

Unfortunately Yours by Tessa Bailey is the second book in the A Vine Mess series however it can be read as a standalone.
Natalie Vos is a Napa heiress down on her luck. She recently lost her job and her fiancé. She’s back home with her family trying to put her life back together. August Cates is a thorn in Natalie’s side, he’s everywhere and seems to always say the most cutting words. August can’t make a decent wine despite owning his own vineyard. He’s about to throw in the towel when Natalie makes an offer he can’t refuse. She needs her trust fund to get her new venture up and running, only problem, she needs to be married. August needs help with the vineyard and being connected to the Vos family will definitely help. They’ll quickly learn just how fine the line between love and hate really is.
Honestly and truly, Unfortunately Yours is one of the best marriage of convenience romances I’ve read. Tessa knocked this one out of the park!! I loved everything in this book! August was such a champion for Natalie, I was squealing! He is a big strong Navy SEAL that’s really a tender hearted teddy bear. Natalie is down but not broken, she is flawed and so real and so captivating. She has many complicated relationships in her life and you’ll find yourself cheering OUT LOUD for the support August gives Natalie. I’ll definitely be reading this again.

Forbidden Hearts by Corrine Michaels is the first book in the Whitlock Family series and I can’t wait for more!
Asher Whitlock is a single dad and police officer in the charming town of Sugarloaf. Asher and his daughter’s mother co-parent but this will be the first time he keeps his 9 year old daughter for an extended period of time while her mother works overseas. Asher works full time; their normal nanny just retired. The nanny agency can’t find someone fluent in ASL to work with them and unfortunately the only option in town is his boss’s 24 year old daughter. Phoebe is in graduate school to become a speech therapist and uses ASL with her patients. Phoebe came back to town with a secret and she’s not sharing! She agrees to work for Asher despite disliking him because she wants to help Olivia. She and Olivia form a special friendship and Asher can’t help but fall for Phoebe even though he shouldn’t.
This was a super fun and fast read. There were several surprises that I didn’t see coming!
I so enjoyed Phoebe’s relationship with Olivia, it was sweet and I appreciated how accepting Olivia’s mother was of the relationship. This is a great read if you’re looking for a hot single dad, age gap, nanny romance. The banter and snark between Asher and Phoebe was top tier! I was also so pleased to be back in Sugarloaf! I recommend Corrine Michaels’ Arrowwood Brothers series that also takes place in Sugarloaf.
I listened to the audio and of course loved Zachary Webber and Desiree Ketchum’s performance. This was a great book but I honestly think I’ll listen to anything Zachary Webber narrates. Lol
