This is probably the best Pride and Prejudice retelling I've ever read!
It is set in modern setting revovling around a bookstore-bar and two pairs of siblings. The enemies to lover is just fantastic and aaah! I love it wholeheartedly.

4,5 stars.

The story is insanely beautiful but the pacing was a bit off… everything was painstakingly slow until the end when we took off in lights speed

Reread in September 2022 after the release of the third and final book.

Not the romance novel I was expecting but it was alright. The characters have shitty friends and instincts but oh well

Forever and always team Jameson.

So nervous about reading the third book… have heard mixed reviews

The only thing I like about this book is Ned, and he’s a hedgehog. That should tell you everything you need to know.

However, this book has almost every problematic thing I can imagine, unnecessary (almost) deaths, animal cruelty, jokes about police brutality, unprofessional therapist, racist stereotypes and so so much more.
PLUS, THE MAIN CHARACTERS HAVE RELATIONSHIPS WITH OTHER PEOPLE AND WHY WOULDI WANT TO READ THAT??

Alright, short and sweet review coming up,-
I liked it, it was fun, lighthearted, and with smut. I missed the tension and longing that the first book had because the "tension" in this book was really nonexistent.

I feel like it could fit under fake dating, even though it was only for her benefit as a romance writer because they went on fake dates and all that,- so Imma categorize it as a fake dating trope, thank u.
